Heck, aside from the Micra (which you can get for $13K with the autobox) it's the only vehicle with a 4-speed box (AFAIK). All the others have CVT's or 5/6 speeds. Toyota is seriously behind. Compare it with the Fit LX ($17K). You're getting 130hp, Honda's excellent CVT, and 7.4/6.2 l/100km. And, I'd love to know what the Yaris's RPM is at 100km/h. I bet it's a fair bit higher than the 2000RPM that the Fit maintains. Factor in the fact that the Fit's interior is noticeably better equipped (for the same price the LX is Honda's mid-range model), much more versatile and useable, and the steering feel is miles ahead of the Yaris. Comparing the Yaris to the Fit is like comparing the Mirage to the Micra. One of them comes out a clear winner.
