Also Love the colour combo. Personally I would only buy a new Porsche with a colourful inferior: sea blue or this red, every time. Heck It's a Porsche that you own and get to drive - IMO it should feel like a party event every time you get in.
I tend to agree, but if I were to order a Porsche it would undoubtedly be Guards Red and I don't think either of those interiors work with that exterior.
I too think it looks gorgeous. Though in my opinion the top should just be a removable T-Top, ala muscle cars of old. But I suppose someone who spends $100K+ on this doesn't want to get their hands dirty. I could care less about the little bit of extra weight, it's just simpler with less to go wrong.I wish there was a picture of the gauge pod you mention in the article. Usually I like Porsche's unique stacked circles.
Porsche does offer a red/black interior where the upper dash, upper door trim, A pillars, and steering wheel are black.
Electrifying the operation of the targa was dumb, especially with Porsche's history of electrical issues. It is exactly, however, the type of thing that will appeal to fat, balding, middle aged, senior management types.

Do previous ones have a history of problems?

I used to like them, but after experiencing the Virtual Cockpit in Audi's new TT, I am ruined, and the supplemental map in the info pod (occupied by g-meter in this pic), is just too tiny to be much use, and the overall layout is inflexible for a model line like the 911 that varies so widely in orientation from GT to hardcore performance. In regular use, it likely would become easy to scan for the piece of info you want, but toggling through the menus in the info pod is also a bit tedious with the wand on the steering column.

It is not just dumb, it's dumb and dumber.I don't doubt it's done, and I don't doubt the person driving the car is doing so wearing a lot of gold chains and very expensive sneakers. And not ironically.
