Of course people can (and should) complain about anything they want...this is a freaking online forum! If feedback is unwelcome (which it isn't I hope) then disable feedback and don't allow comments.
We are the boss of you.  ;D
BTW, I like the weekend motor sports summaries.

Hate to risk losing my best and biggest fan, but I also have an issue with the "you can't comment on this if you don't pay for it directly" concept.
Of course you can complain. I do however reserve the right to rebuttal :D
And cheers all for your support about liking Black Flag. Full disclosure: Black Flag existed at first for the sake of my own ego, and as an experiment.
It endures because JY decided he liked it and made me keep doing it...  :rofl2:

Lack of motorsports coverage was a content deficiency of autos.ca. Had to get our fix elsewhere.

Think about it...you should bolster it (racing coverage) even further then add it to your user profile that you use with advertisers, sell some more advertising and then pay the freelancers more $$.

Also, motorsports coverage is a good place for a bit of op ed colour where you can let your personality hang out a little more.

Keep reporting on the V8's Jacob. I was at the Darwin race a few years ago and it was the best motorsports weekend event I ever attended.

Hate to risk losing my best and biggest fan,

I also have an issue with the "you can't comment on this if you don't pay for it directly" concept.
I didn't say that you can't comment if you don't pay for it directly, but bashing should be limited to certain things: complaining about writing style or what topic is covered is ridiculous.  If you don't want to read about the Bathurst 1000, then don't click the link.  Read up about things you're interested in, but don't come to a thread that you have no interest in and then bash the author for providing something that others may appreciate.

My gripe is that I clicked on a link that promised Nascar and what I got was a page about a bunch of Vegemite-loving good old blokes.
Since October 2015 the Junior PM has been in office.  Record mega-Billion deficits as he p*sses away our future.  An economy gutted. Stinky POTHEADS rejoice. We are going down the drain.

Actually both the summary and the title promised Bathurst first, NASCAR second. This story has both V8s at Bathurst, and NASCAR.
So you got what you were "promised".
You done yet or have you got some more back-pedalling gymnastics you want to try out?   :rofl2:

With three laps to go Whincup set the track alight, ignoring the desperate pleas from his pit crew to save fuel. He finally acknowledged their calls for conversation on the penultimate lap, but it was too late.

Crew was feeling lonely? Can we talk about this?  ;D

And NASCAR:

Teaching people that raging like a spoiled 5 year old is perfectly acceptable in adults.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Let's be honest.  The only reason he's talking about Bathurst is because he's an Aussie.  End story.

If Stoner was still in MotoGP it would have got 10 paragraphs rather than the teeny blurb it got this week.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Mate, you're forgetting that I'm a far bigger Marquez fanboy than I ever was of Stoner. You and I even had run ins about it because you think he's dirty.

Bathurst was the biggest and most eventful race of the weekend. Period.

And Sir Osis, you're right. Will fix now.

Yes, he was dirty.  Seems to be riding much more befitting a champion.  Last years racist Japan t-shirt/helmet notwithstanding.

And it depends what you think "eventful" is.  If by "eventful" you mean good racing, I guess that means you shouldn't cover F1 anymore?  ;D

BTW...surprised you didn't mention the looked-staged-to-me fistfight after the race in NASCAR.  Conveniently, the TV cameras where right there (even following Brad Keselwoski between the RVs before the fight...like they were tip offed something was going to happen).  NASCAR is a joke.

Perhaps a legitimate criticism: No mention of the current drama in F1 that means Alonso may not have a seat next year.

The way I understand it, Alonso asked to be released from his Ferrari contract because he was under the impression that Hamilton was returning to McLaren, which will actually be McLaren-Honda next year, meaning there would be an open seat at Mercedes. However, both Hamilton and Rosberg appear to be staying at Mercedes, while Ferrari has hired Vettel (not yet confirmed but it seems inevitable). Red Bull have called up Daniil Kvyat from Toro Rosso to replace Vettel. This leaves McLaren-Honda as the only place Alonso could potentially go, but they have said they won't confirm their 2015 driver lineup until the end of the season. Really can't see them dumping Magnusson so it would appear their other seat is going to either Button or Alonso.

Bathurst? Isn't that a town in New Brunswick?

No, it's a street in Toronto.
That's what I thought.

...now where's my hug from Jacob?   :rofl2:

Sticking with the theme, Paul Morris share his name with the producer of some very edgy and quite controversial gay porn...

I must ask....what's the difference between controversial gay porn and "normal" gay porn?  What pushes it into controversial?

Was covered in last week's Black Flag. http://www.autos.ca/motorsports-customization/black-flag-f1-horror-nascar-contenders-take-hit/
Is old news now.
