So that's why they tweaked the 2013+ miata face the way they did..... so that it would have a bit of transition from the previous smiley-face to the new gen miata....

They tried to keep a connection with the previous generation MX-5's, rather than go all Kodo.

I think I would have preferred all Kodo.
Not crazy about the grinning mug that's still there, but it's better.
