600+ hp.  I'd kill myself in the Hellcat.

I'd be quite satisfied with the 392 coupled with the shaker hood/skat pack option in the manual even if it's Mexiconian.   I'll wait till the CPP starts rolling in which should cover the payment or better still just have Harponi send it directly to Chrsyler Financial Services.  :)

Again, great looking car, finally has enough firepower under the hood....but how will the much lighter, and now IRS, 2015 Mustang stack up?? This has always been a great looking car that was left in its dust by the other pony cars.
Lighten up Francis.....

Hellcat is a pretty awesome name.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

The Challenger is never going to win the weight contest.  It is a Charger/300 after all.  This blower model will need Vette sized rear tires for sure.  I have no interest in it.  I'd love a 392 with the hood scoop. 470/470 hp/ft.lbs is adequate  :rofl2:  It's suits my size.  You can long distance travel in it.  Be great.  Just wait till they get down to $30K used.  :P

Looks like a fun toy but I doubt I would ever buy one.  Having all that power and not being able to use it would drive me nuts.

though cool to have in the stable... even as a sales guy, i don't see the point. so few of the srt get sold anyways.

plus, i agree with steve... the 6.4 even has the cylinder deactivation... so much more drivable. but then if i'm going drivable, i'll take the charger for the usable back seats and 4 doors..... then if i'm going for a more practical car....

... i've kind of talked myself out of either.

I agree the Hellcat is an awesome throwback name. I bet the car would be hoot on Manitoba's poker-stright roads.

This car reminds me of the old days when my pals would go drag racing on rural highways...five telephone poles was supposed to equal a quarter mile so that was the race distance.

This is a car for 'Merica. You trip over SRTs all the time south of the Mason-Dixon line. And if I lived in the south where I could enjoy one of these 12 months of the year, I'd be all over it.

Dodge should name all of their cars after WW2 planes. Hellcat, Warhawk, Bearcat, Corsair, Thunderbolt, Demon, Musta... ok maybe not that one.

And they could use throwback paint schemes too.

There is a flip side to living in this climate in that you can't get bored with your toys as quickly.  Boats are essentially 14 weeks, sleds are 8 weeks in a good winter, and seasonal cars are about 6 months.  I have not given up the dream of a 392.   Besides who could afford the gas all year round.

BTW, I believe cylinder deactivation is only on the automatics.

I'm surprised there are so many people out there who can afford these things... Chryco seems to be dreaming up so many Hemi-this, SRT-that, versions of their cars... somebody must be buying them.  Hello mountain of debt.

Quite right, 'cept the guys that wanted a 'Cuda in high school wouldn't be middle age any more!  Try late 50s (at least).  But that's generally the demographic that has the cash for this type of specialty vehicle, so I don't blame Fiat for playing on their nostalgia...
