How do you even retrieve a cast without getting hopelessly snagged?  ???
It's called a "Texas Rig". The tip of the EWG hook gets barely hooked into the plastic making it virtually weedless and snag proof.

Comes through weeds, rocks, sticks, branches, etc
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Friday, I leave for Brainerd, Minnesota to attend the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway. I first attended this race in 1984.
The quickest and fastest runs I've seen are 3.649 seconds and 336.57 mph (2018 Arizona Nationals).  Given the forecast, I'd be surprised if I saw a quicker elapsed time, but would not be surprised if I saw a speed in the 337-338 mph range.

Nice! Sounds like a great weekend ahead.

Unfortunately, a family emergency has cancelled the trip.

Yeesh. A bear that bushwacks people is worthy of a bullet at the best of times, but Waiparous village, Madden, that's not deep wilderness, that's just outside of Calgary

It has been confirmed by DNA samples that the grizzly bear that attacked a hunter in the Madden area on Sunday, leaving the man with serious and traumatic but non-life-threatening injuries, is the same bear that killed a University of Calgary business school professor in 2021.

David Lertzman, a 59-year-old senior instructor at the University of Calgary's Haskayne school of Business, was attacked by a grizzly bear while he was trail running near his home in Waiparous Village, just north of Rocky View County (RVC), in early May of 2021. Lertzman's wife Sarah confirmed in a Facebook post that her husband was attacked from behind by the bear and pushed over a 300-metre embankment.

“[David] was attacked by a bear from behind and pushed off a very high embankment and was found near the river,” Sarah Lertzman said in a Facebook post dated May 6, 2021. “The wounds were consistent with an instantaneous death, so he suffered very little. This was important for me to know.”

Took advantage of a Shoppers Drug Mart mega points redemption last week....cashed in 350,000 points for $500 and 90,000 points for $105 towards an OLED Nintendo Switch and two of the "pro" controllers.  Both my wife and I's accounts had been locked the past couple of weeks and it took multiple calls to get them re-activated for points redemption, so I was pretty happy to see a bonus redemption pop up almost immediately.

Welp; I anticipated the due date and "called it" to go on a couple weeks of paternity leave at the end of the day last Friday... and we were in the hospital by Sunday night.

Congrats on the new addition, hope the birth went well and both mom and baby are okay and healthy.  Good on you for booking some time off in advance, one less thing to worry about when the contractions start.

Also, a BMW M5 is a splendid car for daddy duty.

Big news! Congrats!
