New pick and pull!

With a paved lot?  Wow!
And every row is numbered, like a grocery store!

And I told them what I was looking for and he printed me a ticket telling me exactly where it was (Row 9a).

It's spectacular!

That's how to do business.
$5 to walk the yard.

Pricing is fixed on most switches. Huge showroom with really nice used tire displays. Bunch of nice wheels on the walls too. But really open and spacious.

Selling what appeared to be re purposed washer fluid and coolant.

Showroom immaculately clean.

Definitely the proper way to run a business and remove the stigma of what has long been known as a dirty business.

Would highly recommend!

Yeah that's the drawback to fancy used. All the regular wreckers buy them.

^^ What do they look like ? I assume you can see pics. Are they high mileage, accident victims or rust? In my area there are still a lot of those on the road. Browsing the Facebook,Kijiji sites there are still many for sale with higher mileage.

Got mine and my wife's taxes done, finally got my T4 and it took all of 15 minutes to get both our taxes done.  It's nice when all you really need to input are what's on the T4's and your RSP contributions.

Yeah, mine don't take all that long anymore, either.  Now that my wife doesn't have any self-employment income, our rental income is done (along with all the requisite deductions), and most of the childcare deductions have dried up, it's a matter of an hour or two to input all the numbers for the three of us (I do my stepson's taxes, too).

That's how the government wants it, no room to maneuver.  ;D  Much better to have minimal income, be classified as a farm,  and sprinkle income. It's worth the paperwork.

I had picked up a new drive belt and auger belt for the snowblower last week.  The older of the two juniors saw them sitting on the counter, asked what they were for, and promptly went out to the garage and swapped them out.  He loves fixing/repairing/tinkering, and Dad loves the extra help also.

Nice!  :fiver:

Got a call from the property assessment guy a few minutes ago saying they reduced the assessment on our country property based on my appeal.  He wasn't that reassuring when we originally spoke about it a couple of weeks ago stating that only approx 1% of the appeals are successful in reducing the value, so it was a nice surprise to hear this.  This years assessment went up over 47% since we purchased less than 3 years ago.  Not a sustainable rate of increase imo.

Isn't there also a mill rate involved as well? They jack the assessments and they back off the mill rate (which later gets increased lol)

Yup, it's more like a one-time reprieve.   ::)

I have the new version of that (Firepit+) and really really like it.

We LOVE ours.

Yea, mine is the original "Kickstarter" version. What is different with the + ?

Also, you need one of these or similar. Absolutely fantastic. Burns clean!

The biggest difference with the + is the enamel paint seems to hold up better. I've had a dozen+ fires in mine and it still looks new.

The battery was upgraded but that doesn't make much of a practical difference.

And I guess the pores in the mesh are a little larger.

That pellet holder looks interesting, do you basically use it in place of logs?

That is a COOL product.  Had never heard of it before.  And priced right in line with other 'dumb' firepits, too.

Both!!

Today I have the pellet log on the bottom with a real log on top.

I was able to find one new in packaging for $200.  They seem to go on sale every now and then.

And yeah, the older ones seem to rust, but I'm sure you don't see it at night.
