So, my daughter parked her Genesis overnight on the street and forgot to get a parking pass, so a $50 lesson learned.  Why am I smiling?  Check out the make of car recorded on the ticket (under the blurred-out license plate).  :rofl2:

Well dude, right town, wrong street for that particular ride.  ;D

Well, Genesis did pretty much do a direct ripoff of the emblem.  ;D

I'd appeal the ticket. Your car isn't a Bentley so obviously there was a mixup with the license plate recorded on the ticket.  ;)

Back in 2012 I replaced the Hyundai badges with the winged Genesis shield on the Gen Coupe and was asked if I drive a Bentley

Yeah, but then you gotta go downtown, and see a justice of the peace, and it's gonna take a couple hours, plus $15 for parking during the day, etc.  Roger's time is worth way more than that, I'm sure.

Similar winged emblems; I was asked at a gas station a couple years ago if the Aston was the new Chrysler...

Kittens.  Kittens make me happy.  A pair of rescues have joined the family.  Freya (calico) and Sybil (tabby).  It's been over a decade since we last had a kitten - I had forgotten how much energy they have!

Very cute! We picked up a couple of tabbies in August, two brothers. Fizz and Spritz. This is from shortly after we got them.

Love the names!

If the by-law enforcement officer had put Chrysler on the ticket, I'd be posting in the other thread.  :)

Got our house back after a many month gut/renovation. Felt SO good to sit on my own couch and enjoy a slice of pizza while watching TV amidst unpacking...

Well, after 20 years of service and a long lay off, my company just let me go!

Looking forward to the impending battle over 20 years of severance pay!

I'm sorry to hear that, Ron.  Although this is in the happy thread, so, congratulations?

How far are you from retirement?

My sister works in HR and has told me the horror stories of having to try to lay some one off these days and then eventually let them go... you should do well in the severance. A good labour lawyer will get you more than you deserve  :stick:   :run:

Twenty years though.  Twenty years of dedication and service to a company.  And it's just 'cut ties and goodbye'.  Gotta sting a bunch, that.

Although I got the impression from previous posts from you that things had changed in the last few years, and you were less and less happy with the way the company was going.

Yeah I know.   Just trying to be positive
