They're up to 3500 cars a week with a third line starting up, it looks like they'll hit 5000 cars a week this month.
You have to read a bit between the lines.

They are doing this using their "burst rate" production currently. Which is a temporary, fast-as-possible, pull out all the stops production. It's not sustainable long term...and I'm not sure I'd want a car built in that manner given the already questionable production quality.

How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Here's the reason why the stock jumped yesterday. Are they pulling it off after all? If so I'm surprised but pleased, I want them to succeed after all.

I didn't read the article.

But I'm guessing they failed to mention that the guy who tried to push for the change owned 10 shares.

It was supported by the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund. They wanted someone with more independence as chairman. I think they own 0.5% of the stock.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Yea, the guy who initially brought it forward was Jiang Zhao.  He owns 12 shares.   :rofl2:

I wonder if the skipper aka Doug Ford will scrap the EV giveaway quickly.  Model 3 sales are going to be impacted substantially.
I'm guessing not until budget time?

saw my first Model 3 in Ottawa today, a white one on Carling Ave. Looked like an appliance honestly, not a lot of styling going on. The driver was furiously tapping the center screen, possibly trying to make the wipers work or see his speed.

Even more glad I cancelled after seeing one in the flesh. Would have been underwhelmed with it as a car, and from there would have to compensate by "but meh technology" which would wear me down fast
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Saw another one yesterday, this time up close and in a dark blue colour. From the back it looked pretty good actually...maybe the nose is the issue or something

They must have delivered a big bunch recently cause they're popping up like mushrooms on the lawn after a prolonged rain storm
I love it when a plan comes together.

Tesla will prioritize deliveries in ON in the coming weeks and months. I hear they are delivering between 100 and 250 a day! They are showing up everywhere in Quebec as well.

BTW it is funny, the other night on Radio Canada news, the reporter talking about the then still incoming elections said "Trump" instead of "Ford" when talking about him. Interesting slip..  :P

They are now trying to sell them out of country so they don't hit the 200k level in the US and start losing the EV credit.

Because they'll need help selling those in the US since the bait and switch.

Daughter said that a friend’s mother is getting a Tesla, I’m assuming not a 3, based on her income, but I wonder how happy she will be having to ship it to Quebec when it needs service.

Tesla stock is back to $350 USD this morning. Looks like they are going to make it! I'm fine with that!
