My neighbours have a 2012 Insight and the love it. They even take it for long road trips instead of their trunkless Tiguan.

Like the Civic Hybrid, it's a case of public awareness (or lack of). No advertising, no inventory, no sales. That and having better pricing on the terrific Fit.

I think the problem is the half hearted hybrid system Honda used in the Insight.  The roomier Prius got much better mileage so it didn't appeal to those serious about saving gas.

For regular folks the Civic gets more then adaquate mileage and drives better while costing less.  In short the Insight is a car with no market.

It's about time.  That car is butt ugly and cheap on the inside.... It's good to see Honda taking steps to clean up their act
