Hopefully this will give a still middle finger to Chrysler / Fiat who, percentage wise, were asking for FAR more than Ford received in this deal.   The investment by the government (about $50,000 per employee) aligns very well with market realities and should result in an excellent ROI.

2/3s is Federal based on the GM bailout.

This week the "Three Amigos Summit" takes place in Mexico with Harper, Obama and Nieto patting each other on the back in the Mexican sunshine .

Perhaps this would be an excellent moment to revisit the predictable and predicted effects of the " NAFTA sucking  sound" which has sent so many manufacturing jobs to Mexico.

NAFTA and WTO agreements have also forced our Federal and Provincial governments to pay so much welfare to profitable corporations like Ford that some of us think we got off cheap with a mere 140 Million 'investment' in Oakville.
