Exactly, people just don't understand the cost involved to produce a low volume car with that amount of engineering required.

The Genesis IS a sports car.  300HP, RWD, etc.  Not my cup of tea...but is certainly a sports car.

Nissan 370Z starts at $30K USD.

The Supra was never a sports car.   More of a GT.   

Even if you want it to be a sports car there is no magic reason it has to cost some absurd price.    Especially for a big company like Toyota.

But clearly someone could make a $40K sports car.  I think that's what they were arguing when you said it was IMPOSSIBLE to do (even though there are such cars already on the market).

Because it's a stupid way of pigeon-holing cars to some archaic standard that was used in the 50s.

Using that argument, a C7 is not a sports car.  It is neither small, nor what would be considered light weight.  Totally ridiculous.  But using that same argument, my 911 is a sports car.

Which one is more sporting?
