It just seems like a no-compromise machine.  It has decent value for the money (especially in lower trims), there are few or no irritants, and it gets decent fuel economy without resorting to crazy expensive technology (hybrids, diesel, etc).  I think a diesel would be better, but as it stands, it seems very modern.

I look forward to hearing what ya'll think, though it's not likely in my future given its size and my preference for smaller vehicles.

Modern but sinfully ugly.  :(

I agree.  I prefer the more angular 2010-2013 design.

I don't like how they have hidden the exhaust under the bumper.  Less expensive for sure to not have to put stainless steel tips on them, but the back looks weird without them.

Acura's angular design worked pretty well for MDX. The only model it worked in fact. Not they ruined it. It looks plain. Just an overgrown RDX. Nothing special... But yeah. At list is reliable.

I dig it, and one of the few SUV's I checked out at NAIAS. If I was in the market for a mid sized luxury SUV this would be on my very short list.

I know LEDs on headlights are all the rage nowadays, but on some cars (especially Chryslers & Jeeps) they look worse.  Don't like them on the updated Venza either.  Acuras are pretty decent, so far Audi does it best.
