What happens when you accidentally hit the stalk while driving? Worst case you end up in neutral? Or does it actually try to shift to park while moving if you also press the button by accident?

Was a little nervous at first though thinking that if I bumped it at 100k the car would slam into park...but it won't.

this is a great vehicle...i just wish it had a more conventional shifter (that silly thing on the steering wheel stalk seems cheezy to me)...in any case, sub 5L/100kms and an 80L fuel tank means you could potentially drive about 1600-1700 kms on a tank of fuel if you keep the speeds and aggressive throttle in check...you can almost get to Florida on a tank of fuel...wowsers.

I'm good for about 1.5 hours at the most unless I completely dehydrate myself. Other than that no complaints from me other than it would be nice to see this engine offered in the wagon.

Is this what we've come to men? Do we need a How-long-can-you-go-between-pee-breaks thread?

If you cant hold it in till the car needs gas, then why do you need a fuel efficient car??
I once took the TCH through Quebec without stopping. That's over 600 km, although I think I went closer to 700. Of course, I could only do that because I was a bit, umm, dehydrated from the night before.

Just bought fuel for the ML. We're up to a 21 cent premium for diesel over reg gas here now. That's really starting to cut into the diesel advantage.

I bet the ML is 30% more efficient in diesel than in the gas V6.
Quote from: mixmanmash on January 30, 2014, 04:17:30 pmI bet the ML is 30% more efficient in diesel than in the gas V6.possibly...it really depends on how its driven...lots of short trips in the city during this cold spell??...not likely.
