What happens when you accidentally hit the stalk while driving? ???

Worst case you end up in neutral? Or does it actually try to shift to park while moving if you also press the button by accident?
You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.
That makes me feel angry!

Covered this before somewhere...above 1-2 km/hr nothing happens. Was a little nervous at first though thinking that if I bumped it at 100k the car would slam into park...but it won't.

Every vehicle I have had for work has had the shift on the tree , very easy to use and is out of the way
They should bring back more manual vehicles only if it is 3 on the tree  ;D

Looked at it again on the way in today and realized that in two years I have never accidentally bumped the gear selector, it's plenty out of the way. I think I may have caught a flappy paddle by mistake once or twice but not the little stalk.

this is a great vehicle...i just wish it had a more conventional shifter (that silly thing on the steering wheel stalk seems cheezy to me)...in any case, sub 5L/100kms and an 80L fuel tank means you could potentially drive about 1600-1700 kms on a tank of fuel if you keep the speeds and aggressive throttle in check...you can almost get to Florida on a tank of fuel...wowsers.

With a range like that maybe they should offer a catheter option for bladder relief.  I'm good for about 1.5 hours at the most unless I completely dehydrate myself.  Other than that no complaints from me other than it would be nice to see this engine offered in the wagon.

1.5 hours  :o, it would take you an eternity to get anywhere, I can do 4-5 hours on end, if I have something to drink and the road is interesting, even more.
Lighten up Francis.....

Oh yeah, I think so, everyone is whining and complaining about fuel mileage and this and that. If you cant hold it in till the car needs gas, then why do you need a fuel efficient car??  ;D

If you take a little blue pill , it may help with the frequent peeing problem and make your hair grow back  ;D

I once took the TCH through Quebec without stopping. That's over 600 km, although I think I went closer to 700. Of course, I could only do that because I was a bit, umm, dehydrated from the night before.

Sounds like the beginning of a Clint Eastwood/John Wayne line: "I dont throw up....I make others around me throw up..."

Yep, I'm not a good traveler in that sense.  Maybe I'm more in sync with the Shelby GT500... :-\

Just bought fuel for the ML. We're up to a 21 cent premium for diesel over reg gas here now. That's really starting to cut into the diesel advantage.

ouch...that's $17 for an 80L fill up...cut into the savings??...that likely wipes it out.

the oil companies don't like the concept of "saving money on fuel"...you'll spend it either way...pay more for it, or pay for more of it...in the end, they'll get their $$$$.

I bet the ML is 30% more efficient in diesel than in the gas V6.

Plumb it straight to the urea tank to keep it topped up, no more $80 adBlue services or whatever they charge / call the MB version...

I seem to be hovering around 12 lately for mostly in town driving.
