If you're a fan of the new CLA, the next-generation C-Class is your rear-wheel drive option in a similar wrapper

I continue to like the interior.

Not sure about having four different sedans that look exactly the same except for size though…CLA, C, E, S. Seems to be the new way.

Reminds me of this:

Isn't it going to be 4matic only in Canada?

I haven't received a reply from Mercedes-Benz Canada on Canadian-specific details to date.

My understanding is that the initial models in the U.S. will be C300 and C400 4matic and it likely will be the same in Canada.

C250 Bluetec comes later in 2014. U.S. is also getting a hybrid, though I'm not sure that one is coming to Canada.

That 2.0T C300 sounds nice. 273lbft just a little off idle makes the larger engine irrelevant for me in 99% of scenarios.
You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.

Anyone else worried about production moving from Germany to Alabama.

Does anyone else remember the ML's (W163 model) out of Alabama believe around late 90's. First MB's to ever make the lemon list from what I recall.  :'(

Friend of mine had one of these, while coming to a stop the dash would flicker and the locks would cycle on/off. Not confidence inspiring.

I'm sure lessons were learned, but Alabama is no Germany. I would not be as concerned with U.S. production from many other states. ie. Indiana

The '98 ML was the first to be built at that plant, and was Mercedes' first experience building cars in the U.S. I don't think it's fair to judge the C-class for something that happened 15+ years ago. The real question is whether the current ML and GL are reliable.

Building the C-class in Alabama allows Mercedes to be more competitive here and insulates them from fluctuating currencies – a valid concern when you're talking about your lower end models that compete in a very competitive class.

That Navi screen looks WAY out of place.  Makes me think of a tablet that's been velcro'd to the center stack.

It kind of looks like it would fold in, though not sure.

I bet it is just like the B-class.   Part of a new look across the MB line.      I thought it looked funny but now I am used to it and rather like it up there. Mine doesn't have navi just the audio and phone stuff but it is the same screen.

This seems to be the new trend in general. BMW F30, Mazda 3, etc.

Agreed. Are they trying to do it this wya so they can sell it without a screen in other markets or something?

Either way, its 2015 model, a standardized LCD panel across the model lineup should not be a huge ask.....why not just integrate the screen properly? The one sore thumb in an otherwise great looking interior.

I think a lot of brands are going that route.   One single corporate "face"
