This morning's commute was soo bad...  a beautiful overnight snow of 1cm fell, it was so fluffy you could blow it out of the way but the cleaning crews had to go and lay down the salt and turn the roads into slick, slippering mush.

Does not compute. I can be half way to Regina from Winnipeg in that about of time.

Worst commute ever from my home 20 km outside Winnipeg to my downtown office was 50 minutes.

Yup, this morning was the second worse commute ever for me.....One time a couple years back it took me 4 hours to get home. This morning on the 401 there was about a 1 hour period where I never touched the gas pedal....Just brake, release and creep forward, brake again, release and creep forward...repeat a few thousand times.

Anyone still think driving a stick in Toronto traffic is a good idea?

Left my house at 6:30 sharpam, got to my office at 9:45am

I don't mind about an hour....Gives me some time to think, reflect whatever. Plus I get to connect a bit with the car. But days like today are rediculous. Sad part is the only alternative is to move into the city, which would mean a condo with no garage, driveway, yard etc...Those are the things I go to work for, so to live closer to work, and give up those things makes going to work pointless. So I do it everyday, push myself to get more done/do better and remain hopeful that someday I'll get myself into a situation where I won't have to put up with this.

The morning commute was so bad that I felt like slapping on a bumper sticker that says, "Where can I get some of that unintended acceleration?"

Yeah, you would....

I used to know a dude who used to love doing standstill burnouts in traffic queues.
I think he's in jail now.

You'd be on suicide watch of you had to drive my 911 in traffic.  Or an alcoholic.  Or both.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...
