love this car, a proper maser. The old Ghibli II is still one of my favourite cars of all time, would have one but damn they are expensive.

Would love to own one of these one day...

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

With the introduction of the Ghibli and the upcoming crossover it will soon make sense for Maserati to expand to cities like Edmonton, Ottawa, Saskatoon, Victoria, Halifax, etc.

A guy I know, lucky SOB, went to the Calgary shop to order one. They more or less told him to go wait in the corner, they were busy. Can't keep up with the orders they already have and your order will take months to arrive...

I just ordered one.  Near-base model.  Far better than any other offering in this class.

Damn, just woke up from my dream world.   :'(

Beautiful sedan. I would have liked to see a V8 as the secondary option over the turbo 6. Absolutely love the exhaust notes of Maserati's. Like a musical instrument of raw yet refined growl.

V8 is limited to the Quattroporte.

with those power numbers out of a boosted 3.0L?!  You want a V8?  No thanks.
Jaguar's 5.0L V8 (not a benchmark, by any means) makes 381hp...this 3.0L V6 makes 420hp!  40 more hp, 2.0L less displacement.  Who cares about fuel economy at that point, the #s out of a factory boost are effing impressive.

agreed, the Maser V8 is amazing, possibly one of the best ever built, but the TT V6 is no slouch in the power and sound department, either...

The Quattroporte Sport GT S with the revised 4.7L V8 engine is rated 460 PS (454 hp) and  (384 lb·ft) torque at 4,750. Non turbo N.A..

There's no doubt that a V8 has power - but again, you're trading 1.7L of displacement and 2 extra cylinders, the added weight in the nose, and the added thirst (assuming you are not always in boost in the turbo V6).  I think the 3.0L turbo set-up is still superior in this kind of car.

I love NA engines, but this V6 will be a gem.

so I was walking through Yorkdale last night and they had a Ghibli parked inside.  A rep was there and we got to talking about it, then I got to sitting inside it.  It was love at first a$s-grab (i.e. when my a$s first touched that delicious driver's seat).  Beautiful interior, nice size, fantastic powertrain, and reasonable pricing.  I'm sold.
