Over 270 HP normally aspirated, over 210 HP turbo if torque is a minimum of 250/260. Weight maximum 3,400 lbs. but preferably less.

I have never owned a vehicle with more than 200 HP yet. At 194 HP, the Sienna comes close, but it's also a pig at 3,900 lb curb.

My sister in law's Saab 9-3 with the turbocharged 2.8L V6 and 6 speed manual was great though, the fastest thing I've ever driven. Second fastest would be my buddy's Mazdaspeed 3. I can see myself getting addicted to that kick in the seat.

The Crosstour has 271, and it's barely "adequate" 'cause it's a porker.
And yet, I voted 250.

The Berlin taxi has 305hp and a seven speed gear box. The result is perfectly adequate power for a 4,000+ pound commuter sedan. 400 would be much better and 577 (ala E63S) would be awesome.

my porky 4,165 lb Sienna with 230HP is plenty as daily driver. The last RAV4 I tested had 269HP and you should have seen the grin on my face! That's why I voted for 250ish! IS350 will be just fine.

i've had some fun in 500+ vehicles... but wouldn't want it to be my daily driver in most cases...

it all depends. these days over 5 hundred isn't much to some manufacturers and they can make it smooth and easy to drive.

takes away all the fun! to me, it's not whether i win a race, it's the feeling i get when driving. my morgan rates at 70hp i believe... and i have more fun pushing it around than i ever have in challengers, vipers, porsches, etc.

i'd prefer to push something to it's limits at 120kph than to comfortably cruise at 200kph and know i've left a lot on the table.
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

As Jeremy Clarkson says: "POWER !!!"

Have 420hp now so the new goal is to toy around in a 500+hp Aston Martin.
Or Ferrari.
Or Lamborghini.
Or Masarati.
Or Porsche.

All way out of budget range of course, but one can dream.
I'm like a slinky... I'm only fun when you push me down the stairs.

but i don't want to give up power entirely..  sure I WANT to experience 550+ HP sometime..  but i think i will do nicely with 400.    RS4 is going to be my next ride..   ;D (way way in to the future...  )

I highly recommend it. Everything you have ever read about the RS4 is true. Amazing really.

100hp was adequate in my FZ6. ;D

About torque, I have to say, the RS4 has 317 ft/lbs, so you never feel like you're being slammed into your seat (unless you really drop the clutch) but take an on-ramp at WOT and before you know it, you're doing 130km/hr (while still in 2nd gear and the engine is singing a beautiful roar at 8,000 rpm :-).

I've set the audible speed warning to 135 km/h, so I don't accidentally go over 150 and be charged as a dangerous, criminal racer or stunt driver  :popo:.

They definitely need to raise the speed limits on the 400 series to 120 km/hr at least.  :)

^^Linky no good?

Supra was 640...so I need AT LEAST 700!

I suppose I could settle for the same base HP as my last Supra.  But just run it on E-85 to make the HP go over the top.   ;D
