That seems to be the "right" amount of power for a FWD sporty car.  The Si and the GTI are both about the best FWD chassis' around, and they keep the power about that mark.

Agreed, there are heavier cars with more but many like the Mazdaspeed 3 have gone beyond with poor results.

Isn't 220hp the most you want on a FWD without severe torque steer?

This sounds interesting, but I think I would rather have the Civic Si engine in the CR-Z.

I had no issues with the Focus ST, well, beyond ultimate grip in first gear. Once hooked up, all the Si would be seeing is taillights.

And an aftermarket Quaife differential is available for those who plan on tracking it.
