Nice trailer.

But those 3D drawings just blew my mind.

Homes that have 3D tours sell faster than the homes they compete with. I’m getting some steady work among a few realtors and I haven’t even tried hard to market myself yet because it’s not my main job.

Looks like a nice layout on that trailer. Going camping for Easter weekend?  The kids must be thrilled.

Thanks! The layout and price sold us, we didn’t think we would buy a trailer that weekend. I call it the Dodge Grand Caravan Canada Value Package of trailers.

My siblings decided to come for the weekend so no bueno on going out of town this weekend, but we are going to go to Kelowna next weekend instead and we’re going to sleep in the trailer outside their AirBNB to make sure everything works. My youngest wanted to sleep in the trailer last night though so we did.

Wait what? You are driving Edmonton to Kelowna with that thing and camping outside an airbnb?

Haha my sentence was confusing. My siblings are staying at an Airbnb this weekend in Edmonton so we’re just doing a test camp in front of it, then will camp at Bear Creek Provincial Park in Kelowna next weekend. A couple of my old colleagues will join me there.

I was worried about doing a long distance camp to start the season but I do want to make it my birthday tradition to head back to Kelowna.

It’s home! And the pleasant surprise — 21.5 L/100km towing it home. Mind you at no faster than 90 km/h but still.

Congrats! Very nice trailer. Here is to a happy season of trailering. You just know I can't call it camping. ;)

A co-worker has a little 16' hybrid travel trailer (full height travel trailer with trailer tent bed ends that fold down) that she is putting up for sale this spring.  She's thinking of asking $5k for it.  I asked her if she would take $4k for it, and assuming I can sell my pop-up for that amount (I should be able to...bought it for $3400 and put a ton of work into it) then I may buy it from her.

It will be more of an interim purchase until we save up to buy a newer, larger trailer, which we would probably subsequently delay a little more.

seems quite low for a hybrid?  How old is this thing?  A hybrid is a nice in between.  I prefer a travel trailer.  But I understand all too well, the delay in purchases....

1998.  We are going to look at it tomorrow and see what kind of condition it's in.

Cool. How big is the cargo floor? Could a couple full size dirt bikes fit in there?

I don't think it takes much cargo ..there should be a kitchenette and a bed in there.

Looks like you could fit one in there. Maybe two, but it would be pretty tight. Might have to face the second one backwards?

You can get one in easily, two if you're very good.

I assume it is insulated? Has AC but has a heat strip? This is electric correct so for heat would need to be plugged in?  Propane furnace would make sense here.

So, my co-worker's little hybrid trailer was a dead end.  It was in pretty rough shape overall, and the floor at the back was almost completely rotted out.  I can fix and touch up blemishes, and fix damage, but a rotten floor?  That's a little more work than I'd like to do.

Anyway, I'm going to try to sell the trailer for double what I bought it for.  Can't hurt.  I've put a TON of work into fixing it, cleaning it, and bringing it back to life.  If somebody buys it, great.  I'll have money to find a larger camper that needs a little TLC, and fix it up nice myself.  And, if I've priced it too high, well, I still have a nice little trailer to use for the next couple of years.

Here's the ad, btw.

Good luck buddy.  I am not going to even try to sell mine.  I plan to open it soon.  Waiting for a day of dry weather.  I was working all weekend, so didn't have a chance.

Yeah it is insulated, and yes has a heat strip, not a proper furnace. And yes, a proper furnace would make sense but I bought this one instead. :)
I'll add it to the list of reasons I have buyer's remorse. :D
