Interesting title with warning. I think that there is just to much competitors with sound vehicles out there to consider any vehicle with a major problematic drive train.  :stick:

I've driven 2 used Focus' and a Fiesta, and in all of them the powershift was shuddering and slipping already, all with less than 40k on them.  I don't trust Ford's ability to make a DCT yet... Stick with the manual.

Also, too bad the fiesta is not offered 3-door.  For anyone close to 6', the door pillar is beside your face and the door armrest is way ahead of you.

Again, its a cheap little car, why anyone would consider something as complicated as a dual clutch gearbox baffles me.....especially when it comes from Ford.
Lighten up Francis.....

 :iagree:
Keep it simple, tested and inexpensive for this segment of car.

but then we give the corolla crap when it comes out with a 4 speed auto in the base model...

we just can't be kept happy!

totally agree with everyone. i feel like questionable quality is a given in this price range, but the drivetrain is the one part i want to be solid. let the car rust around me, let the stereo break, let the dash turn into a rattle factory.... just keep the vehicle moving.
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

Yes, we give Toyota crap,  because Toyota has tried & true 5sp automatics in there arsenal but would rather save a $1 per car.

This is a good looking and capable for its class hatchback. The sedan is totally disproportional, tall and narrow from the rear...
