Clown shoe?  ??? ;D
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Well if that's what he is referring to, the comments I hear is the 2014 Mazda 3 (kodo design) is much better than the big grin on the previous generation.  I prefer the rear of the old generation, the new one comprises the rear window, lack of visibility....

Might be an idea for Autos.ca, when a new generation comes out, a poll of whether the design is better or worse.  Also, maybe polls for best looking subcompact/compact/midsize/fullsize cars/cuvs/ and trucks (for foboader)

Yep.

 :rofl2:

Actually, now that you mention it, it does have a bit of M coupe in it.

I have read somewhere that the head unit could only take so many paired phones in memory. Once it maxes out, it can't take anymore. This could happen to press vehicle.

I deleted all the phones stored in the system - no joy.

I find this hard to believe.  I'm not a huge fan of CVT, but with fewer moving parts shouldn't it be more reliable, at least in theory?

In theory, maybe, in practice, not so much.  CVT's (with the exception of the planetary gear unit used by Toyota) have proven to be far less reliable than conventional automatics.

It's still a relatively new technology though right?  At least to my memory.  I think it makes more sense than 8, 9, 10-speed autos.

Have you seen the new Mazda 3 in person? I don't think anyone can look at the car in person and see a clown shoe, especially from the back. It looks like a hatchback designed by Giovani Valentino Ferrari. A lot of the design cues come from the Shinari concept below.

...and why didn't that make it to production  :'(  (rhetoric - I know why, but it's a shame...)

Have you driven the Lexus 8 speed?  I had no issues at all with it.

The one in the LS460 is a smoooooth as silk.  And in the IS-F, it's racier.  Super fast, crisp shifts.

I believe the Shinari concept was more in size with the new Mazda6.

Agreed.  Still, the licence plate placement on the front of the new '3 is just plain unfortunate by anyone's standards.

That's only a problem in  BC, Manitoba, NB, and Ontario.  :stick: ;D

Front license plate is a blight on ANY vehicle!
