wow... the price isn't bad, considering the last RS4 cost about the same, but 4500 lbs car, you would expect it to feel like it's carved out of granite, not a floppy floperson with top town.

my boss just got one of these...ordered it in April and got it early August?...anyway, it's pretty sweet...also sweet was the loaner they gave him when he brought his new car in for a software reprogram (to enable bluetooth, which is off by default)...a nice shiny new R8.

There are very few none purpose-built convertibles that are any good.  Unless I suppose that the engineers designed a convertible and then added a roof but of course it will then be heavier than it could be.

Add lightness.  4500 lbs is disgusting.

Cayman following Boxster comes to mind, and now the F-Type, with a coupe to follow.

This thing has its niche, and i'm sure quite a few of these will pop up in California and Florida as image cars. And even the RS 5 Coupe is less hardcore, single-minded performance-oriented than the M3, and perhaps even the C63 Black Series.

Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself,

Heavy I can understand, it is German after all. Heavy and floppy, though, that's not very Germanic at all.  Still a nice looking thing though, like most modern Audis.

Not that I've driven one, but objectively speaking, apparently the coupe is not really that good either.

Audi RS 5 Coupe:

Zero to 60 mph: 4.4 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 10.4 sec
Zero to 130 mph: 18.5 sec
Street start, 5–60 mph: 5.0 sec
Top gear, 30–50 mph: 2.5 sec
Top gear, 50–70 mph: 3.2 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 12.8 @ 111 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 178 mph
Braking, 70–0 mph: 158 ft
Roadholding, 200-ft-dia skidpad: 0.96 g

??? I think the number speak for themselves. But for less money a CTS-V coupe can be had with a 100 more HP and a manual.

having driven one, but subjectively speaking, the coupe is pretty freakin' awesome. M3 (E92) is better, though.

lots of hate for the topless RS5 in here...the people i work with who drove my boss's RS5 Cabriolet all loved it, including one who drives a CTS Coupe.
