Amazing that with that much horsepower the SRT took almost a full THREE litres less per 100 than an Eco-boasted F-150 (according to fuelly.com) even when employing some launch control. A mighty Hemi with eight speeds and cylinder deactivation beat Eco-boost. Who'd have guessed that? That $75k price tag will keep me out of the driver's seat, but woah. Nice Jeep.

just went to price one out.  without the extra stuff (like under seat lighting?)

anyways...  forget the sticker price
look at it this way:

$187.00 weekly.   it's yours*

*96 month financing @ 4.19%

 ;)

or perhaps just wait a few years and get one that is 3 years old...likely a bargain...especially since the current gen GC are all based on Merc platforms (from when Daimler owned them).
When you've lost the argument, admit defeat and hit the smite button.

people that are looking at this and saying, why do this, why not get a limited and then a sports car.... a limited jeep with decent equipment is still mid 50's... and most people go the overland route which is up to 58ish... not like that spare 20 grand is going to buy you a rocketship.

i think this truck is something for everyone (except tree huggers or people looking for amazing fuel numbers).

-awd for year round use...
-5 passenger plus cargo space...
-fuel usage that isn't the worst out there (combined, you are more into 14l/100 i would wager without good highway driving)
-towing up to 7000lbs
-luxury refinements and build quality
-great tech and stereo (19 speakers!)
-oh yeah... 470hp.

i think this is the ultimate do it all machine.
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

96 months... Good lord.  I wonder if anyone in history has ever paid out a car for that long... I suspect most people just take a bath after 2 or 3 years.

I too would rather get a plain Jane GC and use the extra to buy a real sportscar...

some people lease a car for 4 years, then buy it afterwards (often a loan of several more years).

At first i though of this as being G Gordon Liddy's ultimate commuter car!  :popo:  But, then your reference to Tintin somehow made me wonder what kind of adventures Harold and Kumar could conjure up in this thing!  ;D

I'm a hater of anything Chryco, but I think their slogan for the GC is very accurate (see attached pic)

I know, you're not supposed to over analyze advertisements or pop songs, but:

"The best of what we're made of."
"Every inch, every minute of every day, we chip away at finding inspiration"

Hey Chrysler, do you grammar much? Did this sound better in Italian?

'Cause you can only drive down Main St. so many times

you would be surprised.  This is why all the companies are offering these long financing terms.

I noticed a new ad on the Toyota site offering lease / finance payment skipping for up to 4 months
(this is a little known option on MTGs and some loans)

wrx is somewhat right though... people take the long loans, but trade in while they still are making payments.  cars like this, i would hope the people who have the kind of cash to seriously consider them are smart enough with their money not to do that kind of term.

jeffer's comment is very true too... we get a lot getting 4yr lease payments and then saying they will 100% be buying at the end... and since they can't come up with 500 down payment now, doubt they will have the 20 grand needed to do a buyout... so finance it for 5 years... ends up being a 9 year loan!

anyway... yeah. i want this jeep. i would want to see what they'll be pulling on the used market. they have been making (and selling) more of them these days, so there may actually be some that come up used...

that's how I got the RAV 4
lease with the plan to buy out.   But the new for all new rubber at the end of the lease and the dealer dangling a carrot for a new car, with the attempt to save a couple bucks short term -- and i'm stuck with something I never really wanted.   Stupid!   :banghead:
