No more Sequoia, sold it yesterday back to the person I originally bought it from.

I'm waiting for a mod to combine my last several vehicle purchases to make an ongoing buy and sell to avoid polluting the forum with vehicles I only keep for 1-3 years.

So, what's going to replace it?  Obviously something big, so you can pull that big trailer of yours...

Haha that was at myself.

Sequoia - just under a year
04 Sienna - 13 months
Odyssey - 3 years
99 Sienna - 9 months
MPV - 4 months
Celica - 6 months

At least we’ve had our Mazda 3 for 7 years now. My wife kind of wants a small SUV but at the same time we know the history of it. She was also expected to get stuck lots in the snow in the Mazda but that never happened.

Would you consider a plug-in hybrid or a full electric vehicle?

Thanks Brig! I owe ya.

If I have the money for one. First gen Nissan Leafs can be had for just under $10k now.

I'd hold out and spend the extra bucks for a Gen 2 SL or SV trim...or a Kia Soul EV.  Both of which I've seen for around $15k or so.

Why would anyone buy anything other than the top line Tesla?  With fuel savings, they're paying you to own one.  Perhaps only a Buck is better?

You forgot the robotaxi part...where owning a Tesla will earn you $30k a year without lifting a finger.

So I bought a set of Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 tires with 8.5-9/32nd tread left mounted on rims for $910. I may have overpaid a little...

...except that it came with a free 2006 Toyota Matrix. Drives awesome, everything works, just a bit of minor body damage on the rear driver side which is also the only place that has a little bit of rust and it could use new struts but man I’m in love with this car already. Nice to have a daily car that gets 7 L/100km again.

True, but maybe by then first gen Leaves will be $5k? We wouldn’t need more than 100km for a city car, but it would mine since my wife has no interest in owning an automatic car. Even me, I wanted a manual this time around.

Time to cash out my RRSPs that have seen meagre 6% annual returns and start earning real money?

Yeah, interesting number. Intense negotiations must have taken place  ;D

Great find DKaz, congrats and happy motoring!

See above. Haha j/k, I found this car at the local auction place and this car was up this weekend, but there was a $1000 buy it now price which I offered $910 against and the buyer accepted right away. I had a feeling the car may have gone for more if it went to auction. Now being an auction place, there was a buyers fee of $90 so I should’ve added that in but still $1000 for a 2006 Toyota Matrix is a steal. At the $1000 buy it now price, the buyers fee would’ve been $200 for whatever reason. $1200 might have been getting a bit much for a vehicle we weren’t allowed to get a mechanic to look at but I’m happy with what I paid.

:rofl2:  Well done! Does it have a 5 or 6 speed?

Thanks! 5 speed. The 6 speed is in the 164 HP high revving XRS.

What is the mileage ? 299,999 ? Seems with  these cars in particular the odometer will only go to 299,999 for some reason. There is  maybe much more on it. ;D
