A $41,000 Impala? For those of us used to seeing 3 year old Impalas selling for $14,000 that is quite a surprise.I think I'll wait for the review of the more 'attainable' Impala 4 Cylinder.

Keep in mind press car, GM loaded it to show off the features that you can get. When you select one package, you must get others. When you select Premium Audio and Sports Wheels, that makes you get Premium seating, Advanced Safety Package, and Convenience Package. Since it's only a short article, it sounds expensive to say with these options $41k, but without these options, this car is still pretty loaded. So the 2LT with the V6 can be had for $34,545 with freight, which is in the ballpark. I have seen quite a few of these already.
i'll pass on the Impala...but that new SS looks damn sweet.please get one of those in your tests whenever possible.
Long live the full-sized sedan!I hope it sells...but to someone other than me. Actually it does seem very good and should make for an epic (ok invisible) battle with the Taurus.
Ive gotta say, bravo to GM for the Impala, its a great looking thing. Im sure for $41K you get every toy on the planet and a a sizable chunk of property, not my style, but a lot better looking than either the Taurus or Avalon.
This must be one of those cars that makes a better impression in the metal than in photos - I still can't see what is prompting all the good looks kudos.
