Crime has been declining in NYC for quite a while. Still lots, but much better than the 1970s. No reason not to chase this dickwad and make an example of him. Take it to the track.

I actually kind of dig these outlaw road racers and have followed Alex Roy and read his book about his run across the US. I know it's dangerous and all but...I can't help it.

It says at the beginning the video was 4.3 times actual speed.

From 116th to the end of the island and back is about 14 miles in 24 minutes. An average speed of more like 35 - 40 mph.

If you slow the video down it's normal driving with lots of lucky lane changes in light traffic.

This is a good example of journalism as we have come to know it these days.

"A highly skilled driver calling himself AfroDuck claims to have set the record for fastest lap around Manhattan last week, circling the island in just 24 minutes, averaging 66 mph. "

AGAIN - the video states that he went south on FDR from 116th back to 116th.

That isn't circling the island - it's about 1/2 of the island.

Crap - I've never been to NY but I do have Google Earth and I can read.

I don't know what the speed limit is but probably 40mph. Maybe he did 45-50mph in places. Just like me.

Is this an example of how the police investigate? They look stupid and incompetent.

It's no wonder people get scammed so easily. They don't even read what the guy wrote.
