IMO white is the best color on this car.  Congrats and glad you like it.

Personally, good lord I hope they restyle it soon, it ticks of so many of the right boxes....

I love the interior colour. It sets off the pearl white perfectly. Congratulations on the (still sort of) new ride!

Not going to let that side-show phoney MMRET get all the press.

You're just jealous of my color combo :P ;D

I think you need thicker spokes or double spokes. I have been trying to visualize F10 5 series type wheels (they should fit fine in the higher offset versions but we are talking reps)

http://www.pyspeed.com/BM528-OEM-Replica-F10-M5-Style-BMW-18-inch-Wheels-p/oem-bm528-18.htm

EDIT: 5 is def the right number of spokes though.

I feel like those wheels belong on an M3. It is a little busy IMO, seems more like a summer thing. Wheels that nice will just be dirty 90% of the time and it will look bad anyways. (Just IMO)

I'm more partial to simple 5 spoke or twin-5 spoke designs. The stock 18 TL wheels would suit nicely.

I think I am going to get these. Have/had two other sets of Sport Edition wheels (TSX winter, GLK winter), never had a prob and I'm partial to the general styling they apply.

I know. I essentially want your rims for my winter rims but they're expensive and it's a PITA or shady to source used ones on forums, etc.

Any replicas available?

I am jealous of your colour, it was my #1 option  :(

These are Ron's aftermarket suggestion....very nice but too busy/racy for a winter time TL?

The ones Ron suggested do look like my M3 wheels... I really like them. The second pic of their profile is actually of my winter set replicas (they copied the 3-dimensional look exactly - love the concavity)

I also think 5-spoke wheels tend to go well with the TL...

Yeah I noticed that,

245 wide LM60 $169
225 wide LM60 $180

but.... 225 wide XIce 3 is only $185....not a massive difference. Unless you're only going for 245s?

TR does not show Wintersports available in those sizes, only the Dunlop Winter Maxx which I have never heard of. ???

Yeah, wife's MDX has sport editions.

PS, I was just shopping for 18" winter tires for the TL and they have bridgestone LM-60s on for a huge discount because they came out with a new tire.

It's making me think of ordering early to save like $400 over the Michelins, for example.

The LM-60 are a pretty good winter tire.

Go for it. That's what I bought for the M3. Terrific winter tire, IMO.

XIce3 will not drive like the LM-60's. The latter are performance winter.

Interesting. How is the dropoff on dry roads? I'm sure its noticeable but is it soft enough to be annoying?

RE LM60 vs XI3 -- true for the category but based on the TR survey (assuming they are comparable between classes) the XI3 scores better on dry weather handling too. Looking at the tread compound they "seem" more similar to each other than either is to the Wintersports or Pilot Alpins (or even some of the Pirelli Sottozero stuff). *shrug* maybe I'll as my tire dealer guy.

I seriously thought they handled terrific for a winter tire... grip++ without loss of enjoyment. My M3 drove great.
