Nah, just teasing my self...As I stated above "Price I pay, for having a 2 1/2 year old, and 1 week old I guess..."  so definitely no coupes for me.  And no 3rd car, while working part time, student, and stay at home Dad.  Not for at least 2 years.

You could probably get away with a RSX coupe for the first few years at least until the kids take up hockey.  ;)  No 3rd car for me either unless it is a Smart car.  That's all I have room for on the driveway and city bylaws limit overnight street parking.

Umm, I sold my Mazda6 Sport, for the Mazda5. because of my back, with only 1 kid.  Now with two kids, no friggin way I am getting a coupe!  It would be different if it was a commuter vehicle.  But I expect to work various shifts, and various days within a year, so we both need vehicles that can accomadate 4 easily.  Larger van for light towing, work, and long vacations, with extra passenger room.

Drove it like a muthafacker with the top down, taking the "long way" to work today.  Didn't get to opposite lock coming off the freeway though.  Will endeavor to do better next time...

Ordered a full round of Koni FSD shocks. I was told that the delivery time could be several weeks so I'm not sure when I can get them actually installed, which is a bit of a bummer. Oh well.

I've read really good things about Koni FSDs - let us know how they work when you get them installed.  The wait will give you extra time to shop for other suspension parts you can install at the same time  :D
Don't fight it.  The sooner you get it the better.

Sure. They should be a good fit for a daily driver that frequently sees twisty roads but not any track use.

I'm resisting the temptation to get lowering springs as the FSD are matched to the stock spring rates, and I don't really want to go any lower than the current sport suspension (-15mm) anyway.

The list of other suspension parts to update so far consists of these: M3 rear subframe bushings, M3 control arms and E93 M3 front sway bar. I'm doing my research...  :)

Going to convert my car from lug bolts to studs and lug nuts.  I hate lug bolts.

Had the rear brakes done on the Ridgeline, made to 110,000km. Need was detected during the regular scheduled maintenance. I'm not sure how long the rear brakes should last but this doesn't seem too bad to me.

finally diagnosed the Saab, relay blew for the transmission. No signal to ECU.

will be back on the road next week. Finally.

Alfa is having her brake overhaul tonight, steel lines and Brembo kit all around.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Seems good.  Went to 175K on my Pilot, probably could have went to 200K.

Still have original pads on Tundra at 110k with a lot of life left.

So I find myself wondering how come I don't know how long brakes should last. Then I realized that this is the first time I've ever had a vehicle long enough to need a brake job.

:rofl2:  I'm guessing 80K is about average.  It's so dependant on driving conditions and habits.  You hear about brakes needing replacement at 30K, and some at 200k.  Its so variable.

Makes since. You are letting the engine slow the car and not using your brakes as much.

Ran it through the touchless wash and put $99.55 worth of diesel in it. (1.405 here right now  :( )
