I installed the Paint Protection Film above the windshield on my truck.   I initially though it would be the best spot to learn but it was the worst,  mainly because it's high and I had to go each side a hundred times with a step ladder.  Also reaching the middle was hard.  Trying to cut the PPF on place was hard to, the tools I have was not working well and the blades were binding all the time.   I can see buying precut PPF is the way to go for the tough panels.
A good place to practice is the bumper area covered by the tailgate.

1) reach is easy

2) things get dragged over that area when loading/unloading.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

I should have just removed the tailgate and do it on a table, it would have been way easier

Did an oil change on the MDX.  It just crossed 140k km.  I then gave it a hand wash.  A couple weeks ago I ordered a bottle of GYEON Wet Coat as it was mentioned by Jaeger (I believe) in this thread. Its marketed as a hydrophobicity booster and thought I'd try in on the MDX.  To be honest I haven't applied a wax or sealant on the MDX since last fall.  I am so impressed.  Spray on to wet panels and rinse off.  The beading is immediate when rinsing and increased the shine significantly and leaves a glossy, slippery finish. This was so easy and effective.  Some shitty garage pics for your viewing :)

Right on.  I was so impressed while applying it that I called Mrs BC out to have a look.  She says "You're going to go through a bottle in no time".  I'm like who cares?!  This stuff is awesome!

Looks really good! How much would it help on a vehicle just out of the carwash?

What takes time for me is handwashing

Not so much what I did to my car, but rather someone else.

Driving to work this morning in the Jaguar and I passed a mower on the side of the highway that kicked up two rocks that hit my windshield. Submitted a damage claim to the province for $2883.04.

Turns out heated windshields for rare old cars are expensive...

Ouch, that sucks. Those heated Jag windshields are pricey...

Ouch, yeah. Was listening to Hoovie last night on older interesting cars, and he said it's best if you view the purchase price as just a downpayment

Not me but young miss, she went to NYC this week-end with the SW2 w/o any hiccup. She is almost 24 y.o, the Saturn, not the young miss! In fact she is younger ;D

Mountain biking in Durham Forest near Uxbridge Ontario.
A few hours of trail riding, never used the same trail section twice, LOTS of variety of trail difficulty and exciting switch backs.

Put two bikes in the back of my F150 Lightning.
Had to fold back the tri-fold bed cover to get both bikes in, whereas my bike fits in the bed under the cover nicely.
Had a nice 20 minute conversation with a Toyota pickup owner who walked over to specifically ask about the Lightning when we were loading our bikes after the ride.

First time dropping the truck for an oil change at the dealer.  We'll see how much that set me back.   ;D

$179 and change at the originating dealer yesterday.   ::) :P   What is happening to this world.  Huge PIA as it's a 45 min drive and had nothing else to do in Collingwood.  I was late, called them on route and they held the oil change bay for me so I was really pleased about that.

Got some static about driving 15K km between changes.  The last was one at 10K km.  I pay for Ford's synthetic whatever it is.  The oil kid pours it from individual bottles.  Bill says 5W30.  Everything Ford is 5W30.  Such a whako company.

I'm going to pull the trigger on a base Raptor in black as soon as I flush out some negative equity on the 2022 Tremor.  They had a white one in stock.  Lousy colour on that vehicle.  :P

Running some back-to-school errands with the boy this morning in the T/A and the AC compressor decided to seize right up, big smoke show. Fortunately we were on a backroad with nobody around so I pulled over, cut the belt and we were back on the road, but without AC....No AC and 105F sucks. Ordered a new compressor and AC service kit for $225, next weekend project I guess. At least it's a real easy compressor to access.
