I am no fan of pollution, chasing Co2 emissions (wealth transfer tax) at the expense of actual pollution issues has been a fools errand.   Defending clear drinking water and quality? Sign me up.  On that not the term "biodegradable" is a term thrown around by a lot of products. Did you know crude oil is biodegradable? Would that be ok to release into the river?  ;D

Exactly, everything is biodegradable if you give it long enough. From what I understand 'Biodegradable' when it comes to cleaners means 90% breaks down in 6 months, but that's a whole season around here

As far as algae goes, a lot of cleaners are reduced phosphate/phosphate free nowadays which is good

Still a lot of phosphate enters the Bow from Calgary's sewer system, it is surprising hard to clean from that

Worked on the project MGB a bit this weekend; pulled all the wheels off it so I can take them in to get new tires. Scraped and undercoated the rear wheel wells (ran out of time and undercoat to do the fronts) and finally got the damn steering wheel off.....It was stuck on so good that it had defeated my puller, but after a couple hours of fighting over the last week I eventually got it off using a clamp and an air chisel. Replaced the broken turn signal switch, and realized that the previous own had broken the wiper switch and headlight switch taking them out in his attempt to fix the turn signal....So I ordered new ones and left the column apart for now. Did a good assessment of all the parts I think I'll need to get it back to good roadworthy condition again and ordered them...only about $150.

"Rigorous certification: Certified Biodegradable by an authorized outside agency to meet or exceed OECD standards, guaranteeing its environmental credentials."

And

Gentle on the environment: Does not harm local water systems, ensuring the safety of drinking water.

Good enough for me!

How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

And that's why LBC's make great hobby cars for us regular folks! My neighbour's Challenge Stradale is due for a "major service" - that won't be $150.

Yeah, definitely very affordable as long as you can wrench a little. I am working with junk because I enjoy the revival process more than anything, but the fact that you can get yourself a nice driver quality MGB, Spitfire or something like that for <$10K is hard to beat in smiles per $.

360CS majors aren't huge... engine stays in the car. Belts, fluids, etc... less than $2,500 all day long, if even that. Majors on 911s are more at Porsche dealers.

So a better option than the 355 then.

BTW, $150k for this 1998 355 GTS seems like a very reasonable price.

Edit: Just realized it's an F1, that explains the price.

Last I posted this truck it still had the matching topper and ugly factory steel wheels with narrow 235 tires. While I’m on the hunt for a mint set of these factory wheels, this set will do for now with the 265’s. Still can’t bring myself to remove the Saskatchewan ground effects though, they’ve done such a fine job keeping the rockers 100% chip and rust free!

That thing looks perfect as is, I kinda dig the diamond plate running boards, certainly period correct. Only thing I'd do is see if you could brighten up the white lettering on the tires...SOS pad or, worse case, one of those tire paint pens.
That deep red and silver two tone is so good.

Keep the running boards. Completes the look and yes they are still a must in any rural prairie setting.

I ordered a serp belt and tensioner kit from Rockauto for the kids Civic.  Was hoping to install this weekend with his help.  He called today and asked if he could tackle it himself.  He's at home this week off school for Easter Break and a bit bored.  I said sure.  He sent me a text three hours later with the belt, idler pulley, and tensioner replaced.  Proud of that kid, makes me smile.  He had to pull the alternator and water pump pulley to get access also.  Not a huge job, but something most high school kids wouldn't do.

Car is running smooth, with no more belt chirp at startup and when you blip the throttle.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.
