DTS had a little fit today....Cruising down the highway, moved left and sped up to pass some trucks, accelerated up to about 85mph and then felt something and lost all acceleration. Engine light started flashing and the car was struggling to maintain speed. Obviously an aggressive misfire on multiple cylinders. Fortunately I was only a couple exits away from home so I was able to limp it to the driveway. Old girl would barely idle. Open Injector Circuit codes on 4 of the cylinders, so I started checking fuses and found that the fuse for one bank of injectors had popped. Traced the wiring and found that a piece of the harness had it's sheathing deteriorate and a wire had rubbed through and was shorting out on a bracket. Fixed up the wire, put some new conduit sheathing on it, replaced the fuse and she's back in action. Made for a sketchy drive home though. Least it was a quick and free fix.
