That era F150 was in beta testing for years.  :rofl2:

Look at GM 1/2 tons with DFM and then with AFM.  Everyone of them blow up prematurely.

GMT800 6.0L for the win.

You literally can't build a better truck engine with today's CAFE standards. The market knows it though; I've been looking for a 3/4 ton 800 with the 6.0L, and even down here where they don't rot, they're hard to come by and pricey. A good GMT800 3/4 ton, in a decent spec, is about the same $ as a K2XX 1/2 ton that's 10 years newer with half the miles....crazy. GM did keep using the 6.0L, without AFM in the 3/4 tons up to about 2019, but again, pricey.

The UAW had to step in and demand Biden cool it on emissions.  The way the Biden Administration wanted to go would require particulate filters on all ICE engines.

It's a sad state of affairs.  The progressive agenda has finally met the wall and that wall is set to fall on it.  Can't wait.  :)

I've always had a soft spot for these. Here on the B.C. coast, still quite a few hanging around because the rust hasn't eaten them up as much as ones in the rust belt.

This one was well bought https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-chevrolet-silverado-1500-10/

One of the DRL bulbs in the BMW burned out so I took the chance to replace them with LED. I never liked the yellow rings especially with he HID white light.
Went with Osram as they have the exact form factor of the standard H8 halogen, no additional wires or parts like other bulbs or  conversion kits; straight PnP, CANbus compatible (no errors after install), no flicker...
Pricy on Amazon but they work well. I think I'll buy a set for the fog lights too.

Caught up on some maintenance on the T/A. Adjusted the choke settings, they were pretty aggressive for it's new climate, fresh oil change, cleaned the windows and the bugs off the front bumper. Also took Firm Jr. out for a cruise in it, T-Tops out, through the backroads for a milkshake.....good day :)

Just wondering if you fly a Canadian flag as well somewhere?
Or would that be taboo?

Sounds like a great day.

I don't, I've been thinking about it though....That flag pole was already here when we moved in, it had faded/tattered UT flag on it, locals kept trying to talk to me about UT sports, so I had to get rid of it. Figured I'd fit in with the US flag.....most houses in my area fly one.

I only use it as a final step before a purchase.

Absolutely, plus make sure the Canadian one is mounted lower or is smaller, etc.

^^^

Further, we are talking about West Tennessee.  Nothing could be more idiotic to fly a Canadian flag under an American flag.  Americans have a relationship with their flag that Canadians don't.  Too complex to explain, but the bottom line is you don't mess with that relationship and obviously Firm understands this.

If I were him I'd fly no flag until he and the FAM acquires US citizenship.   So envious.

Yeah, that's basically it, not looking to draw attention to myself. If the flag pole wasn't there I wouldn't have one, but it is, and it's a nice sturdy one so I figured I'd keep it. I do kinda dig the splash of color. Plus, if I am totally honest, I am glad to be in the USA and able to access everything the country has to offer.

You certainly could fly a GM, Cadillac and Pontiac flags!
