Took the Miata camping in Algonquin Park this weekend. It was a challenge packing everything in, but luckily my buddies brought up other communal things.

Its definetley doable for a weekend, for 2 people, if one were to bring backpacking style camping gear.

whoa.  that is very cool how you fit all that stuff in a freakin miata..
i was expecting to see a trailer attached to it!

Driving thrills makes my wallet lighter.. and therefore makes me faster because i'm shedding weight... :D

I would think the food in a cooler would be the most challenging bit. Miata trunk is not deep at all.

Mine has a dent from the inside from a 2 liter pop bottle that was standing upright when the trunk was closed (previous owner)

That's not funny,  and yet still funny.

My dad owns a Miata (2nd gen) and has a similar dent from a thermos that was upright in the trunk as well!

I went camping in my MX5. I took a soft sided cooler. Worked ok.

Had one two weeks ago. My laptop bag, camera bag and lunch box pretty much filled up the trunk. But I had a big stupid smirk all week. Parked it and came back with a Sequoia - had to readjust my sensors  ;D.

I could've used the parcel shelf behind the rear seats (but can't put the top down).

Took the GTI for a long drive today - to Tobermory and back (just under 600 km round trip).
It reminded me why I love this car... Probably the most balanced car there is: not too expensive but it feels premium, 6.6l/100 km with effortless passing power when need it (did a LOT of it today....).

Washed it (yesterday but you can't tell) - and today I parked it in my garage.  MY garage...at least until HE gets home.  ::) :P :bang:

It's just a damn shame to see it sitting there, doing nothing.  Car like that deserves to be used by somebody who needs a good car.  Sell IT!!!!!

Hey!  I've put at least 2000 km on it this summer!  And next week I get to go to Wpg with it for a work event.  So that's at least another 200.  And...and...when the truck goes in for the hail fix, we'll need it then...but yeah, it needs to be driven.  I get in it and I still like it, a lot.  And it's just too damn nice to look at.  Though I am overdue for an optometrist appointment, and new glasses.  ;D  So there is that.

That'd be batshitcrazy...but no one wants one of these.  It's not a Civic.  If I set the reserve at $5000 it would still fail to sell.  ::)  Almost can't afford to sell it.

Gave the 1990 Camry its annual oil change and put it back into the basement for storage. It did almost a full tank of gas worth of driving this year, including being shown at the Oblivion Car Show (past best-in-class winner!).

'Almost a full tank of gas'  :D

How are the rotors doing? My parents Versa gets hardly driven and the rotors got terribly rusted up, even inside a garage.

The good 'ol question: change the oil right before storage (end of season) or out of storage (beginning of season)?  ;D
