New front brakes for the Elantra.

Oil change for the Armada. Kind of neat. It has a little waste oil slide to avoid getting oil all over the steering rack when changing the filter.

The slide is interesting. I have cut a large pop bottle before to make something like it.

Might hunker down a bit and find something as an "between cars" vehicle before winter.

Don't count on a thread like JohnnyMac though...  :P

A very difficult task.  The sales tax hit alone ruins the calculations.

Drive the Miata all winter then sell it in the spring and then take delivery of what you've ordered in the fall.

Someone's got to do it on this forum.  Evil Twin has done his part.

Your turn.  :)

Driving a RWD ~2500 lb 2 seat ragtop, with no nannies whatsoever (no ABS or TSC), sounds like a death wish in Ottawa.  :P The toy car already feels squiggly in moderate to heavy rain at highway speeds, even with brand new Michelin performance all seasons.

I'll figure something out.  :)

That's how I ended up with the S8 after selling the Porsche.

Cheap, but interesting. And AWD should I keep it into the winter.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Put 1100kms on the DTS over 3 days, commuting from Misissauga to various points in Western New York (work related..nobody goes to Western NY for fun). Dang car did 9.5L/100km, on 87 octane, and reminded me that there's no substitute for a big cushy V8 sedan when it comes to long haul comfort.

I  took a 07 DTS in on trade. Been alternating between it and the E46 wagon. That big caddy does impress with it smooth ride and that quiet growl from the northstar V8. Not sure which one I like better lol.

I've said it before, but the N*, especially the later ones, are really underappreciated. The real test will be the ~1600km trip to Memphis next month.

While I'm fortunate that my commute is ~12-15 minutes each way with very little traffic, on one straight road with no passing zones, I do miss having a slightly longer commute to just immerse myself in the car and take it all in. Also it really sucks that a full week's worth of work commuting for me is 100-110km total, so I don't get much of a chance to put mileage on cars either even with a steady rotation between the toys.

I get what you're saying, but I'd take that commute over my old one any day.

My new commute will be 25-30 minutes, all highway, with little traffic, that might be the sweet spot.

Precisely what my commute is.

Both IQ and I look forward to our commute to/from work.

Y'all are very lucky. I get on the road at 7.00am so I can get to work early and leave early. Usually not too bad then

A couple days ago I left for home a 1/2 hr late and the lineup at the one light was a mile and a half. Nice 'Deerfoot caterpillar' to get there, and with the bus lane on one side and a free lane on the other it gets messy, sigh

On Wednesday I had an hour drive to the airport, an hour flight, then a seven hour drive to work.

But now that I知 here, my commute is about a hundred yard walk. Takes maybe a minute, and that includes stopping to grab a coffee.  :)

I commuted from downtown Calgary to Airdrie years ago. Awful and I don't miss it a bit.

The one I have has 336k on it. Guys folks bought it with 20k on it in 08 and drove it to Arizona twice a year. The power train is original. Oddly enough it leaks zero oil lol. Just today I raced a 5.7 Tundra and came out victorious. Yes, under appreciated for sure, everyone thinks they all blow head gaskets and die. I値l have problems selling this one with 300+k, but someone will appreciate it I知 sure.

Yep, those kms will scare people away, but that's a great driver. Mine only leaks a little oil, and only when it leave it sitting for a week+, if used daily no leaks....they like regular use, the more highway the better.
