Thats a great looking rig. The Frontier is a great value compared to the Taco and they are almost the same damn thing.
Lighten up Francis.....

Thanks guys!  I still really like this thing. Proof that bad handling and fun to drive are not mutually exclusive.   ;D

^^ Your last sentence says it all. My truck is slow but with the  manual it still makes it fun.

Swapped the summers back on the Ridgeline and replaced the rear pads. Could have gone through the summer but one pin was seized so by the time I was in there I decided to swap the pads (Akebono). These pads are nice and easy on the rotors. Should get 2-3 sets of pads per rotor. Also swapped the brake fluid at all 4 corners. Only the second time in it's life (it's a 2011 and done in 2015.) Old fluid looked a smidge bit darker but generally was fine. I think the low humidity out here is easy on brake fluid. Should be good for another 6-7 years. Hopefully this is a $200 year for Ridgeline maintenance.

Already?  I'm still a month away from switching tires.  Still probably another Easter snow storm around the corner, not to mention all the snow/ice still on the ground.

I still have a couple of feet on the yard. Difference is now is when it snows it melts the next day.

True.  I'm presently at 4C for the rest of the week.  I'm apparently in the Ontario snow belt.  We do get late snow and it is an issue on highways.  The issue with change overs is that the Ontario government came out with this ridiculous mandate that Ontario insurers must rebate $50 if policy holders ride on snows from December 1st to March 31st.  So I signed up.  My concern is since I have accepted the deal and if I were to get in any wreck without those winter tires they would move to policy void me.  Hence, the winters on all 3 vehicles stay on till April.

Fair enough it's only a couple of weeks. If we get really walloped I still have 2 out of the 3 on winters. Those will switch out in April.

Just changed over to my new summers. Nice and quiet. The old Michelin's were louder near the end of their life.

The wife's E39 M5 is coming out of the basement vault this week to get the rod bearings and timing chain guides done. Massive job, pre-emptive maintenance but I think that's the last step to make this thing truly bulletproof for years to come. Thing got equal length headers last year, sounds gnarly with the Dinan exhaust.

Get the bearings WPC coated if you're going through this effort..worth every penny in this case.

Some companies were selling these already WPC-ed too.

I'll admit to being more than a little curious about the total cost to bring it up to spec when all is done.

Engine out or easier to leave it in/accessible?
