Thanks!  I’ll leave it plugged in until tomorrow and see how it’s doing
Shouldn't take that long..but won't hurt anything.

Fired right up this morning, checked the tire pressures, got gas and went for a nice drive on some twisty back roads!  Hopefully will hit 10000 km’s before my warranty is up in a few months  ::)

Bring it down for the seasonal oil change!  :)

Tried to list the Jag for auction. BaT outright refused the car with hopefully an explanation forthcoming, and Cars and Bids wont budge on their suggested reserve which is only a few thousand less than my minimum, and they will not meet me half way. Frustrating. Anyone know of another site I could list?
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

As I've said in here many times, BAT doesn't like Canadian cars; their buyers are less interested in Canadian cars due to import hassles (or perceived import hassles), so even if they sell the car, it'll likely do less $ than if it were located in the US and drive their overall market down. Exception is for super rare stuff where location is less of a factor because it's just so unique.

CollectingCars is good. My brother has done a fair bit of business with them over the last couple of years. They seem less picky than BAT.

I will list on Ebay and check out collectingcars

Thank you.

For a car that has perhaps one or two for sale in all of Canada, and very few in the states perhaps a half dozen, I would have thought my car was rare and special enough. Guess not.

The Canadian head of CollectingCars is a very close friend of mine (also has a 964, and I just brokered him a Cayenne). PM me and I'll get you in touch with him... he'll eat that thing right up

Separated the frame from the body on the Austin. Pulled and gave away the engine/trans.

Moved it from the garage to the driveway so I could access some things more easily and not drop them on the car. Come back to see the birds :censor: bombed my car. FFS.

Yesterday I had to go into the office, made the commute in the SLK. Happy to say it made the trek without incident...As far as cheap cars go, this is a really good one. It feels at home in the city too, nice for darting around traffic and navigating tight streets.

Today I brought the T/A home from storage, I don't have enough parking here so I swapped it out with the DTS for now. As expected, no issues from this one, feel good to be behind the wheel of an old F-body again too....it's been awhile.

Oh, and I put new gas struts on the Escalade rear hatch...The OE units were getting soft (though they still held the hatch up fine). I had a new set of StrongArms (from work), they were worse than OE, so I ended up buying a set of Stabilus. They appear to be very nice quality.

Few things done on the Acadia today since it's FINALLY warmed up here in Winnipeg. Oil change, coolant drain and fill, rear brakes (pads and rotors), rear wheel stud (broke back in the fall doing the winter tire swap but I wasn't about to tackle that one in the cold) and swapped back the all season tires.

Rotors screws were nice and seized, drilled those out. Rotors were also good and seized to the hubs, pounded them off with a hammer. Finally the hub was really good and seized into the knuckle. Ended up using a trailer hitch as a homemade hub buster and managed to pound it out as well. If i ever need to do that job again I'm going to get a bigger hammer... All I have is a 16oz ball peen hammer. A 2 or 3 lb sledge would have made those jobs a bit easier. Now its time for a beer.

Numerous brews after all that.  Nasty work.

Always amusing (NOT) that the vast majority of screws that "hold" the rotors on are Phillips heads.  So stupid.

On the Acadia they are torx but they were so seized that it just twisted up my bit before stripping out lol! My civic *had* phillips, they've all been drilled out, never to be replaced.

A cheap impact screwdriver is worth it's weight in gold for those. I think that's all I've ever used them for

The ones on the Civic probably weren’t Phillips at all. More likely JIS, which looks like Phillips, but isn’t. That’s why they’re so hard to get out if you try to use a Phillips screwdriver on them.
