Oil change on the BMW today. 8000 km since I got it back in Sept.
Went with Fuchs this time around.

Picked up and installed the last piece of interior trim (the black plastic strip around the cup holders) part of the interior refresh. Old piece was perfectly fine visually but the coating was sticky (known issue). For $18 and 10 min work was worthwhile.

Tomorrow will install the OEM sunglass holder instead of the driver side ceiling grab handle.

Sorted and on the road! Going to get some decals for the back windshield that has our logo and "Courtesy Shuttle"

I drove this across town and back, and it drives really well. So far we did some bodywork to fix the dents, put a new windshield in it, engine oil and filter, trans fluid change, and a new battery. Total into this is just under $3k including purchase price.

Look good and for that price... Diesel too... :lick:

Can you find me a bargain 2016 X3 28d?

Nice and warm here today . Decided to change the oil and filter on the civic. Maintenance info said to change the plugs so I did that as well.

157,000km and about 10 years on the old ones. Still looked like new. Replaced with what came out, NGK Iridium.

I shop at Carzilla now.

Great place and typically cheaper than eShine.  They also carry some higher end stuff too.

Same brushes at Carzilla  https://carzilla.ca/products/carpro-detailing-brushes-set

Also, Shinee Wax Detailer/Gloss enhancer is a MUST try!!  Highest gloss product (measured) on the market.  https://carzilla.ca/products/tacsystem-shinee-wax-spray-detailer-500ml

Changed the wipers the other day on the RX, a bit of a process

Luckily any question on these things is on YouTube. From the manual:

When the windshield wipers are not being used, they retract to below the hood. To enable the windshield wipers to be lifted when parking in cold conditions or when replacing a windshield wiper insert, change the rest position of the windshield wipers to the service position using the wiper lever.

■ Raising the wipers to the service position
Within approximately 40 seconds of turning the engine switch off, move the wiper lever to the UP position and hold it for approximately 2 seconds or more. Wipers will move to the service position.

Then, the one thumped and thumped. Turns out the Michelin wipers from Costco changed their design and the mount point. This pushed the passenger wiper a little to the outside where it was catching on the windshield pillar. Broke off part of the spring steel with a Vice grip and all good

Things have been really busy in the Firm household lately, so I haven't done much car stuff at all for the last 2-months or so. Today was my birthday, and the weather was OK (+13C but windy) so I took the afternoon off and gave the Slade a proper wash, first of the season. I didn't have time to break out the polish and glaze (I will soon though), but washed all the jambs, wheel wells, flushed out the underside, cleared the rocker panels drains, wiped down the engine bay, etc.

She's got a few battle scars (most of which were there when we got it), but I am pretty pleased with how this 16 year old 270K km truck is holding up. It'll be 6 years of ownership in May, and it's been the most reliable vehicle I've owned, by a long-shot. The only vehicle I own where I'll legitimately go like 2+ months without even opening the hood to check fluids and things, it just never needs anything. Zero intent to replace this thing.

Washed the Jag in preparation for taking better pictures for the ads.

Also ordered a bunch of parts for the Echo to get it fixed up for daily duty this summer. Will take about $1000 in parts and labour, but will be as good as it can be after that.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Put a few air filter in the Golf after 100k km.

Also replaced two interior bulbs that had gone out. I've never replaced a single interior bulb before, let alone two in the same car.

The hatch was replaced with an LED because that's all Canadian Tire had. If I'm being honest, I figured it would be brighter.

I would be, too.  It looks fabulous.

Ordered oil and filter for the Boxster.

Received hideously overpriced floor mats.
