^^ That's good that it corrected itself and might be due to the cold weather. If the code was a PO-300 to 312 it could indicate which cylinder suffered a misfire making it  easier to troubleshoot. This generation has coil on plug and not one coil pack for all cylinders.

Most modern not OBSOLETE cars have coil on plug  which your car has. ;D

I know I don’t live in MB, but we always get at least a solid couple weeks of minus thirty weather here. I saw minus 34 on the GTI’s display one day this winter, and there was a good ten days where it never got warmer than minus twenty five.

And in thirty years of that here, I can’t ever remember having a problem with a car because of it. Sure, my Honda wouldn’t put out enough heat at minus thirty, and the blower fan got a bit noisy, but the car (like all the others) worked as expected.

Just saying I wouldn’t be inclined to dismiss a problem as Oh, it’s just because of the cold.

^^^You're right.  And the indicator will be repeatability.  If it happens again, I know there is a problem.

Replaced original wipers with cheap RainX. Next time I will source toyota refills and put back the OEM ones, which look and feel more substantial.

Finally figured out how open the cabin filter's access plate. There are just two little prongs on the right to be squeezed together and it comes off. The rest is simple. The OEM element feels light and flimsy. The new Bosch 6092C HEPA replacement is thicker and is likely more efficient.

If it's below -25C the stereo in my Cayenne will not function until it warms up for a while.
Been doing it consistently for years, has to do with the module that does warning chimes and blinker clicks through the speakers.

Well, the weird problems aren't over yet.  It hasn't gone back into limp mode, but it's been doing some weird things.  Like, when changing gear, letting off the gas and clutching in, RPM's go UP instead of down.  I did some impromptu 'testing', and when coasting along at 40km/h in 3rd gear, clutch in, foot off the gas, RPM rises up to 3500rpm.  At one point today I started the car, and RPM shot up to 5500rpm at startup, until I put my foot on the brake and let off the clutch, then they came back down.  Definitely NOT supposed to do that.

I have an appointment to take in to my mechanic on Monday for diagnosis.  He seems to think it may be related to the throttle body, but who knows.  Guess I'll find out.

On the surface is sounds like a faulty TPS sensor.

Yeah, sounds like something related to the drive-by-wire system....TSP, throttle body (sometimes include the TPS) or sometimes the pedal assembly itself. My old SLK320, one spring upon awakening from it's winter slumber, would barely rev past idle. I diagnosed it as a faulty pedal assembly, which was $$$ to replace. I got lucky that removing the assembly from the car and cleaning some of the contacts seemed to do the trick.

Perfect example of why I am a fan of old simple cars....whatever was wrong with a cable throttle  ::)

We had the TPS go on the CRV and it did odd things with the throttle like that. Would be totally fine for a while, then suddenly go all screwy with the rpm. Kind of unnerving.

Unfortunately Honda didn't carry the replacement any more for that old a vehicle (2003). I tried a $25.00 one off ebay but that didn't last and we ended up having to put a whole new throttle body in

Ya, I looked up TPS for GBA's vehicle and all that comes back is TB.  If it was just TPS, and it may yet be, he could do it himself.

My parents took possession of their 2013 Corolla on October 5, 2012. On Sunday, February 27, 2022, the odometer showed 44,444 km. Pretty low for a car 9y 4m 22d old.

That's an average of 4,726 km per year.  I work from home, so I'll be adding, maybe, 10k per year.

Super low for a Corolla even....Usually every Corolla around here is pretty ragged out. Should last forever at that pace.

We got our Rolla at the end of October and there is already over 7K on it and it doesn't get used for work. No idea where I've been going though.

MDX hit 11,000 km and oil monitor is only at 40%  ???  Checked the dipstick and it's registering about 1/2 between the full and add mark.  At 15,000 km I'll change it.  This coming from a guy who was a 5000 km changer in the old'en days.

Armada is the typical Nissan 8K km or 6 months.  I ran it up to 11K and then took it in.  Oil level did not budge and appeared clear.
