Amazing how good it looks for 320k. It’s hard to find a nice Camaro this vintage here in BC even. I looked at a GTA T/A a few weeks back that had a considerable amount of undercarriage rust. I passed on it.

Yeah, they were very prone to underbody rust, I've come across plenty that look fine (nice even) on the exterior, but the underbody is shot. This one is shockingly solid for the kms and being a winter-driven Ontario car. It was oil sprayed twice a year every year, washed weekly, and always kept a good coat of wax on it. The surface rust in the photo is probably the worst spot on the whole car....The floors, front and rear rails, rear 'boxes' behind the wheels - all perfect. The build up of oil and grease just makes it extremely dirty to work on....

Drove to Moosomin, SK and back.  Had lunch at the Red Barn.

678 km round trip.

I’ve never been to Moosomin. Was the Red Barn worth the trip?

678 km round trip.

Spent a week in Moosomin last summer. I remember I snapped a pic of the grain elevator there, but must have deleted it.  :(

Our hotel was next to the Red Barn and I had dinner there once. It was okay, and I guess worth the 50 meter walk to get there. Not so sure I’d go a km out of my way, though, let alone 678.  ;)

Next time, try the Windsor just down the road in Fleming. Older place with character and decent burgers.

Sunday was my first time outside Manitoba since 2019 and the Red Barn is the only place in Moosomin I'm familiar with.

It was an interesting drive with high winds and rain making portions of the trip a white knuckle affair.  I got to Moosomin and back on one tank of gas.

A little late reporting but I drove from SJ to Halifax last week to pick up my daughter and her boy friend at the airport. flight arrived at 0630 so I drove down the day before.  First road trip since summer 2019 and the first time I have been out of NB since 2019.  Also the first night in a hotel in over 2+ years.

The 400+km drive reminded me of how comfortable the X5 is as a highway cruiser.

My brother and SIL have been doing this kind of thing all summer.  He bought a more comfortable bike for the 2 of them, and they're hitting up all the summer hot spots for burgers and buffalo (fittingly enough, at Buffalo Point) - there's some Facebook or MB something website where all the "best places to eat" are listed, and they seem to be hitting them all, or as many as possible.  Pretty sure he's put over 6,000km on in the last couple of months.  All the way up to Dauphin and around the middle of Lake Mb checking out the local eateries.  Every weekend's a new adventure.  Bet they're having a hoot.

Oh right...that's why I came here in the first place!  I changed the oil in my car...17 months, 2044 km.  Maybe useless...maybe not.  Under $30 DIY.  Cheap insurance.

Sweet.  The Ridgeline isn't a large truck by any stretch, but your SLK makes it look like a fullsize.

Replaced both low beam headlights and both parking lights.

Always replace in pairs!

Oil changed the MX-5 and the Mustang. The MX-5 is sort of a PITA with about 10 bolts to remove an under body panel.

That Merc is so right in silver. I dont Luke it on any other car, but that Merc...damn. Boss indeed.

I had some paint correction and polish done recently, and just waxed the big Jag. Pics when I can make it look good. No more ceramic coat for me, too much hassle.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.
