Helped the girls wash the black cars while I Karcher'd the Rubicon in the street. Somehow, it had mud up to the roof. Somehow.  :shuffle:

GAWD, the MTL fleet zappy-Jeep colour scheme is hideous!

Weird red shade, looks red in person but orange-ish in pictures. All the little boys gawked at the thing like it was a 1:1 Hot Wheels - and it looks the part!

Washed the truck yesterday evening...going camping for 3 weeks and I wanted it clean and bug free on the glass.  No rain in the forecast 'til Saturday but we won't be here.

Get up this AM...take the dog out to feed him...drizzle.  Fack me.  ::)

Wife backs the truck out to go to work, and it doesn't rain, but the drizzle picks up just enough to make sure it'll get it all wet before she gets to work.  5 minutes later...stops.  Looks like it might clear up again.

Facking fack fack...  >:( :banghead: :bang:  ::)

Kid asks me (to which I ignore him) "Why do you always pick the short straw?"

It's BECAUSE you washed the truck.

Would be nice if it would at least RAIN then! (just doing my part for the crops ya know) The grass is starting to look like crap in spots.  It could use more than 5 minutes worth of Alpaca spittle.

Nope keep the rain away, I like my nice shiny black car. Moment it rains, it needs a wash.

Finally finished putting the new top on the Miata, what a PITA.

I would far rather change a timing belt, it's way easier.
Now, apparently I need two men and a boy to help close and latch it the first time  :P

Said goodby to my son's 2013 Volt, ±193,500 km (he picked his personal stuff in car) before insurance cie take it away. Based on the net 9.5K$ they are gonna pay him, shopping Volt option were quite limited ±8K$ before 15% sale taxes...

Test drove 2015 Volt as potential replacement, sure she has lived with 228,239 km but mostly highway I guess, with plentiful of life remaining. Monday (local to seller) pre-purchase inspection scheduled & an appointment took at my preferred dealership to do 5 years / 240,000 kms maintenance: main traction battery, inverter coolant change. Motor & transmission (gearbox) oil change too, overall check just in time before son leave for vacation with his "newer" Volt. if every things goes well

Yes but sadly they don't do Volt anymore, best solution they ever came with between ice and full ev.

I prefer gen 1 simplest gearb power transmission to more fancy gen 2 set up.

Fixed the radio power button again on the GS-350.  It's the second time this has happened and the only thing that has ever gone wrong on the car.  Not bad for an 8-yr old with 147K.  Apparently it's a common issue.  Fixed it by sliding dental floss inside and behind the button, then give it just the right tug.

Tried to start the Miata, battery is pooched.   It was ok yesterday after all day on a charger, but not now.

Crappy Tire wants $160, they have garden tractor batteries with more CCA for $70. :P   Costco doesn't carry them, neither does Wal-mart.

The Miata battery is unique, it only fits Miata and is sourced from a PowerSport battery company iirc - hence the price. Don't feel so bad though, my DTS battery, which is also some odd-ball late-2000's Cadillac only fitment is $250 for a standard replacement unit.
