The Morgan was a really sweet barn find, at a real functional sheep farm, that my brother and I bought and dragged home. It's been sitting for 20+ years, so mechanically it needs a lot of attention, but the body and interior is in really good shape. Will get an S&S soon.

My 5's clutch throwout bearing went and it seems it took the transmission housing and fork with it. So I found a transmission in NS for $472.50 shipped. It seems the further east I looked, the cheaper the transmissions are. Lots of supply due to rusted out 5s out east is my guess. BC & Alberta wreckers wanted $750-850 not including shipping

The PowerWheels Vette I've posted about before, it was mine that was stored when I out grew it and I finally got it up and running for Firm Jr. It's a 6V and I had originally bumped it to 12V for more power, but it was too fast for a toddler, so we're running a 6V now. The kid absolutely loves it, and every morning since we gave it to him all he's wanted to do is go outside and play with it....driving it, looking at it, cleaning it, etc. Run time right now is about an hour, which is frustrating for everyone, so I need to get a second battery for swap outs.

That's wonderful.  :)

Thanks Bubba :)

PJ - awesome photos, think I missed those the first time you posted. I know very little about Morgans, one of the only British Sports Cars where we've never even had one in the family, and different than the Austin/Leyland cars which use a lot of similar components, the Morgans use a pretty wide range of parts from various manufactures, as your photos show. This one, a 1970, got a '1600 GT' 4 cylinder from a Ford Cortina, which according to some quick research was a hot little engine in the day. Everything looks super simple, but the carburetor is foreign to me so a lot more research will be required with this one.

Nice find Firm!

I dug out my old 951 track wheels & cleaned them up today. Getting the tires removed tomorrow as they're like hockey pucks by now. Will sell the wheels, surely someone wants 4 ‐ 16"x8" ET23 Porsche phone dials... looking at you Blur911

Haha, yeah, that big Ram 2500 was last week's presser - came in handy. My CT truck is an older (2014) 1500 and it's all stickered up with CT logos.

what are the chances that the one you happen to find also happens to be a 1970 4/4? crazy. I had mine out this weekend for some fun little boots. get used to people asking what year MG it is. i didn't even have to jump it this year. no trickle charge, no nothing. just cranked it and bam. had finally found the right air cleaner that fit on it (while still being able to close the bonnet). best of luck getting up and going.

after driving all the things on the lot here, i still love driving a car like this quick rather than these supercars slowly. its actually a bit frightening!

great find and nice to see the vette being passed on as well!
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

Wow, yeah, didn't realize yours was also a '70. Odd. Mine has a little round air cleaner, maybe 8", that just sits on what looks like some type of american (Ford likely) looking 2bbl downdraft carb. I assume it's correct, but not sure...

Obviously I haven't driven it, but I did sit in the driver's seat just for fun and thought it weird how close you sit to the steering wheel, like it's right there. I didn't notice any adjustment on the seat either, but didn't want to do much reaching around either until all the mouse crap and whatever else is in there has been addressed.

One of the best Wheeler-dealer shows was the Morgan one.   They got a car in excellent condition except the chassis was rusted out.  So Mike went to Morgan and got a new chassis and Edd  replaced the car around it.

After 2 years of living with a cracked windshield I finally had it replaced on the Golf.

I asked the shop (reputable with good review) about the various manufactuers, specifically St. Gobain.  He said they were all good.  He installed an XYG windshield, a chinese manufactuerer.  Reviews online aren't the best, but this one seems to have good optical quality.  Certainly better than the Valero one that was OEM (it had a lot of distortions).  I'll have a closer look.

Anyone have any experience with XYG windshields?

Had some powersteering whine coming from the Civic for a while.  I ignored it for a bit, like any good car owner.  Finally checked the fluid yesterday, and the reservoir was basically empty.  Drove by my Indy at lunch, and he just topped it up (as well as my brake fluid) for free.  I guess it's for little things like that that one has a good Indy, eh?

yeah, the air cleaner has that diamond opening that was a bit tougher to find. the shop i had working on it ordered a 9" and thought it should be fine. nope. i just tried to find a link to what i got, but now can't even find it. ah well, hopefully you don't need one at any point!

the seats are literally an air cushion with a leather cover sitting on a removable piece of wood. i'm sure you can make up whatever you like for a bit more custom sizing! if yours is that same as mine that is. without a single tool, you can just pick up the cushions, the wood support underneath and the whole back. it's quite ridiculous actually.

Lol, yeah, I did that with the seat and wondered whether it was 'normal' or not...Guess it is.  :rofl2:

NO, but after making the wife drive with a substantially cracked windshield for a few years years on a 2007 Camry I went for the new screen and 2 weeks later a deer had the disrespect to put a hoof thru it.  So that was $350 down the drain.  ;D

No reason a Chinese sourced windshield would be less quality than anything else.

Funny, that's why I waited so long. Didn't want to get a rock thrown at the car mid winter.  Then COVID, then figured its time.

Looking forward to it getting chipped in two weeks.

Replaced the seat belts on the TR6 with new Moss parts. No bolt broke, all came off easily, no rust anywhere, no issues whatsoever. Still stunned.
