You'll sell that in no time PJ, nice clean looking unit.

I say sold within 48 hours.

Tentatively sold, per passing PPI

Is it going to the guy you mentioned earlier for his daughter?

That’s the one. Will have been an easy process if this works out!
That's definitely a relief, not having to wade into the kijiji, autotrader, and facebook market.  That alone is worth $500 in my book.  I hope it works out for you and the lucky daughter who gets it.

I bought most of my vehicles that way, the 510, the Omega, the F150, the B2000, the XZ550

Weird collection, but the price and condition was right

Would like to sell the Vibe as well this year and get something in the electric/hybrid side for the next vehicle, but nothing interesting is jumping out at us so far

Does your Civic's owner's manual specify synthetic?  My 2008 Civic does not specify synthetic, I think it assumes you'll use conventional, so the maintenance minder hovers around 8000kms.  Just wondering if they reprogrammed the maintenance minder in the later generation for longer intervals due to synthetic oil.

Replaced the dome/cargo lights with LEDs today - some inexpensive stuff from Amazon and while they work for the most part, they only slightly dim when the car is off and I manually turn them on.
The old incandescent light used to fully light up in this case as they should.

I have a theory on why this might happen and it has to do with the way the bulb is built... I guess you get what you pay for in the end.... Anyhow, I ordered an expensive Philips bulb to try it out for now but wondering if anyone found any inexpensive bulbs that work normally with the car off.

Disclaimer: My battery may not be the freshest as it's 7+ year old but still no issue starting the car or powering up accessories even when the car is off.

Finally took the NB out for a spin around the neighbourhood this afternoon.  On Saturday I insured it and drop the top and just as I was going to take it out, it started to rain.  >:(

I think I might put the new top on ours before I take it out.   Can't go anywhere so why put it on the road? :(

I drop the top at the beginning of the season and it stays down until I put back the car back into storage at the end of the season.  I don't go far from home and only drive it when the weather allows.  2 hours max is my comfort level before my back has had enough.

Have you tried turning them around in the holders?

I bought a set similar to these for the RV, seem to work ok. https://www.amazon.ca/Festoon-Control-Interior-Courtesy-License/dp/B07RRGHR3S

Dang!!

You beat me to it!!

This is often the case with festoon bulbs.

Otherwise, I'd try a quality Sylvania bulb.  Have had good success with them.

My favorite quality brand though is Philips Ultinon LED.

My favorite "cheap" brand (so far) is Luyed

Yup. I did try it both ways.

Philips is what I ordered at $19+tax a pop. This is more than what I paid for the 6-pack I got.

Some of them are just cheap? IMO.  I mean...there has to be a reason the Philips cost $20 and the cheapos cost $5.

For example, I'd have some LED bulbs (cheap) and they'd work fine.  As soon as cooler weather rolled around....they would all dim.

Whereas this has never happened with the Philips.

In short, poorly designed/built bulb.
