I've been having some issues with the Yukon throwing a bunch of ABS and Service Stabilitrak warnings. Used to only happen on really bad roads (washboard gravel and huge potholes), but lately it's been happening on smaller bumps, too.
Looked into it a bit online and suspected a wheel-speed sensor, but didn't really want to get too deep into it. Figured it would be easier just to drive around the potholes.
Anyway, took a peek while I was doing the tire changeover yesterday, and found that one of the ABS sensor cables was missing its mounting bracket, the cable was free and flopping around, and the insulation was worn through to the point that there were bare wires exposed. Well, that might explain things.
I just sealed it up with some old liquid electrical tape I had in the garage and fixed it to the mounting point with some zip ties. I think it will be fine for now, but I may have to touch it up again with each seasonal tire changeover. A new cable is only $60, but from what I can see, I think the caliper and rotor have to come off to replace it. I guess I'll do it if I have to, but would rather not if I can avoid it...
