I put less than 4k kms since Oct when winter shoes were set on my 2014 Volt...  Covid time: WFH + confinement / curfew :shuffle:

Last October, I was lucky to grab a deal poping up on FB about  4 oem Volt mags + tires (+ I guess TPMS, I would know very soon :P) for $375 !

yes, the Sonic would look better with 17" rims but, as you said..  ;)

Damn that Jag looks soooo good....

I checked my winter tire Sonic km for the season - I keep a spread sheet of when the swaps are done to keep track of such nonsense...and hold on to your hats: 722 KM.  From early Nov last year 'til last Friday.  722 km driven. LMAO.  Should've put it on layup too. I put almost half that much on yesterday going to the city and back.  If Cdn Tire would've had time, I would've come home with new A/S tires.

Oh...I did find this on Kijiji though... 17" Sonic wheels

I'm vain...I would LOVE to have those for my little shitbox. So much nicer to look at.  (Son: But that would ride like crap. That would be awful. Stick with the 15's! - I swear, he's not my kid.  ::) :P)
I mean...doesn't this look so much nicer?

Than this?

Then again for $475...meh...and then tires too...$1000 better spent elsewhere.  Like...

I did notice some incessant and annoying clattering coming from the front yesterday, the city seems to provide the right conditions for hearing those things.  Not too fast, and plenty of little bumps and pot holes to make things make noise.  Which has me wondering if the other stabilizer link is broken or is breaking. If it is, guess I'll see what happens if I remove it like the other side.  Hasn't been connected in a couple of years, couldn't tell the difference... ;D Almost like that bar isn't even needed...

Don't go from 15" to 17". I once went from 16 steel to 17 alloy on a Sonata and while it looked very sharp IMO it exposed every shortcoming of the car's suspension, so besides the appearance there was a downgrade in everything else.
Besides, these factory 15" look great.

You'd regret going from 15" to 17" wheels, especially on our roads.

But Bubba!!  Think of the way it looks!!  (drove past your place yesterday  :D - went to Headingley Sport and came back in on Roblin...tried waving but didn't see you anywhere)

Well I need new summer tires anyway...Cdn Tire had some for $100ish each...cheaper than rims and tires.  ;D  So many choices though...
Whatever these are

Maybe I should go with the recommended Continental tire Yuri...

Can't beat the deal on Certified  :o

Good for her!

I never did mind taking my car down gravel or dirt roads (within reason).

Washed my truck for the first time in a long time. Took it to the father in law and he’s going to do some body work and paint it. Rear fenders are getting rusty and have a couple other rust spots. Weird because I’ve never seen  another rusty Tundra of this gen.

The Mrs has been chatting with her dad for a while to paint it, I had no idea. Love that lady. Guess I’m keeping the old girl (the truck)  for a while longer. I really have no desire to replace it, especially now that it’s getting fresh paint.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Another set of 10 hole wheels for the Mustang. This time with al season tires on them.

The middle boy sold his Fiero today.  :(

The oldest boy bought a 2005 GMC Sierra. Needs some work. We got some new us fenders and doors from scrapyard. Busy weekend.

Sonics with these wheels look so damn good...

For the record I did a similar oem swap on the daughter's Accent. Kept the 14" for winter and added a kijiji 16" oem Accent GLS wheel / tire set. The car actually rides...better with the larger tires, steering feel improved too. As long as the car is designed for it...

Sucks about the Fiero, was enjoying following that one.

I am not one to talk about running on old tires....but those Eagle GTII's are at least 20 years old and the cracking on the shoulder would have even me a little worried about it.

I bought more for the extra rims than the tires.

Here is the older boy's truck. A little uglier than his other one.

Wife's Lexus looks pretty bad right now.  I got the hose out yesterday but too late in the day to wash any vehicles.  Managed to hose off the mats, including the dog hammock mat, from the Frontier so that was nice as the dog got it quite muddy yesterday.

I'll try to get them all washed by the end of the week.  The Z3M is still under wraps for another couple of weeks at least.  Peeled back the wrapper yesterday for a bit and at least it's nice and clean.  Quite a contrast to the others.

The roof box went on the car for the first time this season in anticipation of the Le Massif trip.

Took my Camaro to the track again, but this time I pushed it a bit harder.

Ended up pushing it way too hard and went over the edge(pun intended). Understeered off the track once in one session, and I got too hot wearing a jacket in the first afternoon session and started to mess up. Spun out twice in that session.

Luckily, there is no damage other than a lot of rock chips on the front driver wheel since I ran into a lot of rocks outside the track. I think I will leave them as they don't look too horrible from a distance and I might do it again in the future.

Nice job actually using that Camaro!  O0 Those are such great cars on the track.

Much less exciting here, I spent a good 1/2 day spring cleaning the Escalade. Wash, polish, wax, scrubbed the mats and emptied the winter gear. Polished the chrome wheels, even waxed the door jams.

Looking pretty good for taking on 15 Canadian winters I think.
