Thanks everyone. Hopefully Black Beauty comes home today. ![Grin ;D](https://www.autos.ca/forum/Smileys/CarTalk/grin.gif)
Dude, the ONLY acceptable name for this car is "Bagheera."
A black panther is the melanistic colour variant found in members of the genus Panthera, particularly of the leopard (P. pardus) in Asia and Africa, and the jaguar (P. onca) in the Americas.

Black Beauty sounds more like a dildo than a car.
I don't understand why grown men name their cars, so bizarre.
1. Bagheera is in fact the perfect name for this Jag.
2. Black Beauty does in fact sound like a dildo.
3. I also don't understand why, but sometimes names find cars. Our beloved Snowman had named the S2000 "Rio", so that has stuck. My old 560SEL was named "Moneypenny", and the current owner actually got a California plate for it that says MNYPNNY, which is neat. My Volvo 240 was named Estelle, for some reason. I don't think anything else I currently have has a name, though the wife's Genesis G70 is occasionally called "Genny".
OH! The '90 Camry is called "Kirby", because the original Camry I grew up in, two-year old me had affectionately named "Herbie". ![Grin ;D](https://www.autos.ca/forum/Smileys/CarTalk/grin.gif)
And the Aston is "that British Mustang" isn't it?
I don't generally name my cars either, but because of the relentless teasing I've suffered over my "appliance car" (the Jetta), I've named it Senorita Muffy (the Mexican Sorority Girl's car).
