^Yeah, if they get desperate enough, or used to it after a few years, they'll chew it. I use Irish Spring in my BBQ, usually just leave a bar in the lower portion where the tank is and I noticed they've chewed it, but it's been in there for years so I guess they've gotten used to it...or that bar has gotten stale.

Moth balls are the most effective in my experience, but they're also not pleasant for humans to be around either.

I don't have any critters that I know of *knock wood*, but I put bounce sheets in each exhaust pipe, under the hoods, in the trunks, and a couple in the cabins. This applies to the S2000, M5, Vantage, R8, and Camry. All of them are hooked up to trickle chargers too. Never hurts to be safe, I guess.

I don't bother here in my garage at the house, if mice were in there I'd know about it pretty quick.

Same.

I have a few traps on the floor....in 20 years haven't caught a thing.  Apart from an opossum wandering in one day and eating the mouse trap bait.   ;D

I live in the country, so rodents are expected.  I spotted one squeeze under the man door into the garage in September and immediately set to work eliminating the threat (to the cars).  Set a few traps and caught three shrews and a field mouse.  I've since used the plug-in frequency thingies that's supposed to keep 'em away and they seem to be working.  Nothing has shown up in the traps for over a month now.

Of course it's a good idea!  New and new-to-you cars are always a good idea!

So that's the plug in electric Wrangler?

I think so......as I saw a news blurb about the first ones rolling off the line recently.

Misfire on #5 cylinder on the 323i so this afternoon I got at the coils & plugs. Coil looked fine as did the plug. Moved the coil from #5 to #1... so far no issues, but if the problem moves to #1 I'll know its a bad coil. If it stays on #5, then maybe its a bad injector. Took me about 20mins to get it done & it was around +5, so not horribly cold.

Issue hasn't come back up & Bella has been driving the car quite a bit this week, so maybe the connector on the coil just wasn't seated properly.

Hooray for free fixes.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

I'm assuming it's just waiting to die at a really inconvenient time.

They're all fairly new coils, around 2yrs old. I just think when we had the valvecover gasket done, the mechanic didn't get that one back on properly because the issue started soon afterwards.
