Was there not an Audi S4 with a V8, stick combo?

Quattroporte?

No stick in those, unfortunately.

There won't be a Show & Shine till the spring, but Mrs. Vantage now has a V8, RWD, naturally aspirated manual transmission European car as a summer toy. It's been passed down from a relative, the original owner.  8)

Time to get wrenchin' over the winter! We plan to autocross/track it next summer.
You'll have to get a bigger garage like Firm!

Winter's coming...so I priced out the driveshaft I need for the Fusion to make it AWD again...sheesh.  Over $1000 at the dealer, but my buddy at the parts store says he can get me one for about $650 + tax. I asked, is that the friends and family price?  ;D (are we still friends?  :'() and he's like - yup, list price is $950...!!!  So his price is $300 LESS than if I bought it straight up.

There was that place on Ebay "out of" Ontario (Taiwan or Philippines or somewhere else in reality) under $400...but dammit if I couldn't get them to ship it to anywhere. Not my home address, not my work address...so I gave up on that.  Maybe I should try again, or maybe I should suck it up and buy local.

Have you tried the wreckers?  I'm sure a used one would be cheaper.

Put new rotors on Bella's 323i, old ones were rusted to hell... probably due to not being coated & lack of use since COVID hit. Pads were fine, they were only a couple years old, just sanded them down a bit & back in business.

Good luck finding the driveshaft for a Fusion Sport though.  If it's the same as the reg Fusion, sure, probably a few of those, but Sport? Unlikely.  Probably cost more in time and driving around, and also, I'm still getting a used part with who knows how much life left...and last time I wanted something from a wrecker they wanted half of new, eff that.  I'll buy new then.  Fusion Sports are cheap.  Could probably buy a whole working safetied driving parts car for less than a wrecker would want for pieces of one.  :P
