Getting new fuel tank put into the girlfriends Lil Red Echo. Rust bucket has a hole in it, we think, causing all sorts of problems and fuel smell and leak on fill up. Ugh Toyotas are supposed to be maintenance free right!?

Echos will run forever....until the rust gets at them on Ontario's salted roads....
Yep. Only thing killing that little car is the horrendous rust.

I think you could use olive oil for engine oil and it would still run.... :rofl2:
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

certaainly not today, but few weeks ago.

had to go into office for the first time in a long time.

it was sunny and hot, with forecast of cloudy, but no rain.

drove SLK there with the top down, and inadvertently tested the aerodynamics of rain and open top.

wasn't pouring down, but light drizzle.

turns out, if i go over 90 km/h, rain doesn't get into the cabin.  if i fall below that speed, i start getting spattering of rain drops.

always wanted to try it.  now i know.

Did that in my Bugeye Sprite.    Works with British rain as well as Canadian rain.    trouble was that the Sprite had to be flat out to keep the rain away!

That doesn't sound like trouble to me.

That was maybe 65 mph, or 70 downhill with a following wind!

Good show! Which one is that? The '66 or '69?

The '66....which is actually technically a 65. Much less of a transformation than the MGB because this car looked pretty good when we got it (my brother and I had split this one); but it needed a bunch of minor mechanical stuff, interior needed a fair bit of work, and the exterior got a good detail.

The red 69 is still here...Made lots of progress recently though, getting ready to put the motor back into it next week.

Not my car but a buddy of mine has an ND miata. I saw this Goodwin muffler on Kijiji . Picked  it up for him at a  substantial discount from new. He is coming over the border tomorrow to pick it up. It weighs only 16 pounds.

That is a nice shiny piece of kit.

I ordered pads and rotors for the Lexus, down to 3mm on the rears and 4mm on fronts. Went rockauto because, even with shipping, they were the only ones that were: available, cheapest, not garbage brand.

Hope that fixes the "scraping" and "clicking" noise I get when braking or going over bumps. Suspension has been checked, is solid.

Should trade it in on a Honda  :rofl2: (never)

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Fack. Next time bud.

And no, not even for that one. It is my daily, and I would not commit blasphemy by ruining that amazing NSX by driving it in the winter.

3 year service for the Audi: oil change, brake fluid change, inspections, new rear wiper blade, two recalls: a software update for HVAC and some sort of wiring / connector kit for the passenger presence detector. Free Nespresso. 422$ because free Nespresso.

The clock on the old 951 was hazed over, the old LCD screen was shot so I bought a repair kit to fix it. Had to be careful taking all the 34yr old plastic apart, but I managed to get it all apart & repaired. Only issue was that the new screen wasn't working fully, so after taking it apart & reassembling about 4 times with all the new pieces I decided to use the old connector block & then the new screen fully lit up.

Here's a few photos of the work & the final result.
